As long as Uwe Boll isn't involved...

For now i'll be happy if DoW2 is as successfull as DoW so i can get all the armies up to Sisters of Battle (not being very popular means them being the last army added...). As i only play against AI, i cannot really talk about balance. Requisition feels slow, specially if you play with Space Marines. But it annoys me that i cannot reinforce those points... what at the same time, makes them more valuable. Even if my HQ give lots more req. points, those small extra points mean

Great videos, Thrawn2787 . 1 Karma point to the first who spot the "strange detail" of the following pic: I hadn't noticed that... (easy Karma just because [e digicons]:P[/e] )
caeldrin: Relic doesn't have Stardock as publisher but THQ... Demigod has been a lucky game in that department. STILL, i haven't been able to play a single game of Demigod because it doesn't get along with my non-english Windows (and NO, i won't use regedit, disabled in my comp for obvious reasons).

The Steam part is just for the beta as far as i know (it was only mentioned as the means to get and play the beta, but who knows. It would be a very bad move...) . I don't know about the rest so no comment there. Edit: about NDA... no one told me about one and Relic's forum (or Relicnews if you prefer) is quite public to check the beta part (i don't have account and i lurk there everyday).
I'd advise anyone still on the fence like me to just wait until the 28th when everyone can join the beta for free.
Yep, that's the best option for anyone interested or in the fence. The game is gold (it's a balance beta mostly... but they can use it to find bugs...) so you will play what you get at retail (day 1 patch was promised even before the beta started too). Edit: well, at least you can play the multipl
I'm posting in this quality thread. Also, in before the lock? [e digicons]:moo:[/e]
People that expects DoW2 to be DoW1 v2.0 better change their mind asap. If they didn't like CoH, there is also a good chance of not liking DoW2. That doesn't mean that DoW2 is a bad game because it's not. It's quite fun, fast, frenetic... In any case, the best way to value DoW2 is to play it (public Beta the 28th of this month...) and judge it because of what it is and not about what DoW1 or CoH were. I don't do multiplayer because i'm stupidly shy, have no mic (why should i? And not
With that, i'm more than happy. And if my channeler will be able to shatter the world... why not be able to develop magics that allow for underwater settlements/cities/fortresses/dungeons/theme-parks...?
I think that sea battles were going to be just autoresolve type to be able to focus in land ones (or something like that was said long time ago). Maybe, if we are good, Stardock would consider to add "real" sea battles in an expansion (making the necessary changes to make it work... if it can work at all in those conditions) or maybe it's moddable and some modders can add it. Considering what we currently know about how battle works, just now we can only guess. I want underwater

In theory, as far as my memory on the matter goes, you only get charged for Elemental (or any Stardock game) only once the beta starts. Considering that it's very unlikely that it'll start any time soon, i would say that it's been a mistake and that you should ask Stardock's sales support about it. (not that i wouldn't like a beta like... next week? Even if it's at the same time that DoW II's...)
Edit2: I just have to say this again. Get the expansions. I can't fathom playing with only the Eldar, Orks, Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines. Thank God I own Soulstorm. Because i have really enjoyed it as a game since day 1 (no MP for me helped too... as Adeptas Sororitas are my fav army). A pity the bugs, that fliers are not so useful and that all comes down to Ironlore's situation (that was closed even before Soulstorm was released, go figure).* Oh, i get 7 extra Beta days just because i bought Soulstorm? Cool! [e digicons][/e] That means like 30 less days without nothing to do until Elemental's beta starts.</p
Magic is anything that you cannot explain/understand. See also: Conspiracy.
Well, Soulstorm also has disk check unlike Dark Crusade... ask THQ why. In any case, altough i'm going to buy a copy in my country or maybe the UK (quite cheap just now and better service with preorders), if Stardock gets the game for Impulse, i'll buy it again there. [e digicons];)[/e] Oh, and there is open beta the 28th of this month (21st if you are a Soulstorm owner). I would suggest you to try it if you can, so you can judge if you could be interested in it.
