Hum .. and why not a way to achieve victory ? Giving consciousness to a city(it's aliiiiive!), then all of your other city turn neutral, every human gets your enemy, then you would have to stay alive for 40 turns (for instance). then you become .. a God !! Well .. sort of :P Or becoming one with the earth ... Instead of a flying city, your cities becomes part of earth : you don't control them, but every city becomes a spawning point for nature-related creatures you can control <p

Banned for the sake of Ban-Beans. *asks himself if it means anything*
In my opinion, I don't think it's so bad. I would prefer some kind of flask instead of bottle. I really like the feel of the art direction they've taken. I've just changed the water and FoW ... I wouldn't change anything else.
That would transform the city into a unit ? It reminds me of the fatboy or Czar in Supreme Commander.
If dungeons can "spawn" then it wouldn't be hard to make them spawn in meaningfull locations.
As the AI isn't already implemented ... I think they don't really try to do such things as trying to capture cities.
Yep, I don't have encountered a new bug for days. Anyway, now I try new things, or to break the game with strange behavior. I tried to level up my sov as much as I could do. I got to the 9th level before any crash.
And why not not a "per/turn" cost ? You would be paying each turn an amount of the total price.
I would prefer just a notification of a new report, and not that intrusive panel. Then I could see the report by clicking in a button in the bottom (the way civ4 do it is really good)
Yep, and the game is really playable in this state. The more I play, the more I get acustomed to that cloth map. And i've changed two files : the fog of war (made it darker) and the ocean (made it blue). And the visual feeling is just awesome :D Even with those maps that aren't really diverse.
You can also research army cost bonus to reduce money spent each turn. And don't take the report for true : it doesn't reflect the army cost bonus. EDIT: The palace produce gold, as the inns. Put 4 in each city and you'll be rarely short on money. EDIT 2 : I tried to see if roads were costing money and they don't. But I have strange reports of wages : I have 5 basic soldiers and it cost me 110 gold ... (it should cost 50)
I think thaht you'll be able to custom a faction with the exact same bonuses from trolls. So you'll have a human faction with exactly the same way of playing. I think that's a good thing to limit creatures, so when you'll see a magical beast, or trolls, etc. it will be more stunning. Anyway, we should try before saying that "they lack".
Devs said that they only put – for the moment – 3 levels of city. So don't try to get past it, there's none ... at th emoment.
Yep, enemies never try to get my cities. Have you decresead performance when you play for a long time ? You should try to launch a game and win it to test those bugs that only show in the long run. You can see how many times you tried the game, thanks to the stats from impulse ;) (you just need to use impulse to launch the game)
From http://elemental.kryofx.com/ Cannot decline war warning during autoexplore upon entry to enemy land (popup loop) ( 1 ) ( 2 ) ( 3 ) Cannot accept war warning during manual move into emeny land (popup loop) ( 1 ) ( 2 ) I also have regurlarly this problem. Waiting a turn or two will let you try and succeed, but i wasn't able to reproduce the problem when I
Reminds me of the great wyrm ... That just would be awesome. Or a nature rebellion if too much desacrated ground is here, or the surge of an ancient demon if there's too much holy ground.
[quote who="Tormy-" reply="3" id="2386130"] Quoting joasoze, reply 1I addition to your fine idea, one could add upkeep not related to gold. You could have a dragon fighting for you with an upkeep of for example 10 resources a turn (gems or whatever). If you run out of this resource the dragon leaves. Imagine how interested you would be in getting your hands on that gem mine over there Perhaps the dragon's upkeep should be 10 peasants/turn..... [/q
Strange. If you have no units, you have nothing to pay. I'll check if roads are charged. Mining was remove to prevent the bugs tied with it. You can learn the tech but can't build mines, atm. About buiolding cities : do it as you wish. It's just a matter of taste : large clusters of cities, or a compact kingdom ? About unit cost : the economic system isn't in place. The beta 1 is for stability problems. Inns gives you 1 GP. Usually I build at least one of
It is said that it WILL be in the game .. when you'll zoom out at max you'll get the cloth map.
So, this is a place you can stress down from all those games you've won/lost ... Well .. why such a place? Because i've played my 53th game and .. won only 3 times because of hangs/CTD/save problems And you ? How many games did you finished ? On how many tries ? Somewhere elses I said that the 0.23 let me win some games .. well, well, well ... And you ? Are you also getting some fun ?
I often have those strange "ghost" units that don't appear on map but they repel FoW. In fact they follow roads. And sometimes a spider attack some unit with 0 in attack/defence. Probably caravans. Sorry if that's already been said, but I didn't find any comment about this.
Boardgames are a must :D
Just look at this : (i'm on point 86:92) debug.err : http://pastebin.com/m18f89964 I also have a regular problem with the reverse of that : i often can't walk on the border of sea, like if the borders weren't drawn on the right place. This bug
I think it has been replaced by a leather killer O_o
Anf why not using a HUGE fiel that would be created by player, hum ... by the games played by humans ? Here's the idea : you need to be connected to the net when you play. Each time you play a battle against the AI or another human, the huge-file will store the result. When you need to autocalculate the game would search in its database a fight that was nearly identical ("Oh! 3 fighter against two flyers? Fighters have bows. Ok"), then calculate the possible outcomes, then throw a dic
