Nice job on the report. What size map and level?

Yeah I was excited about the path showing until I realized it only shows up after you move. It is a small improvement which is nice, but really needs to show up before I have to actually move. Also as I think as is being suggested above, if I could shift-click along my route to set way points that would be the ideal movement scheme (I've never actually tried this but I assume that is not currently an option).
[quote who="Frogboy" reply="16" id="3088058"]On a $40 game we net about $15 these days at retail. There's MDF, which is effectively a slotting fee, as well as the manufacturing, the distributor's cut, the retailer's cut and that's before taking into account the costs of having a retail sales force to go out and negotiate with each retailer, attend their shows, etc. That's just how retail is. They still sell more units than digital (a
Any way you can share in round numbers what the cost delta is for doing retail vs. digital? Do the best buys etc.. of the world charge slotting fee's for boxed games? Always wondered about that.

Another solution, then: Archer units may not shoot more than 6 times in any tactical combat. Because ultimately what it would mean is that get enough initiative = win. Never played this one, Fantasy Empire that Kamamura_CZ mentions was fantastic. Would love to see a remake of that one.
Space Above and Beyond was a good one. Did anyone watch the two seasons of War of the Worlds (1988)? I really liked the first season, then they totally changed it for season two, for the worse. I remember it scaring the crap out of me as a kid though.
I'm for the range penalties. However I think it should be a lot easier to get bows and we need some magic ones (I think they are adding this).

Though I would say money's only real use is to buy more time. Time is the only finite resource we have, and the great equalizer in this world. Brad, I hate accountants more than the next guy, but at "10's of millions" of revenue you need a full time CFO and probably a controller as well for oversight. You know, there's nothing to stop you from hiring a CEO and becoming the CTO "head geek in charge", that way you get to do what you love while some other poor sucker gets stuck with the business crap. That's what lot's of founders in the IT field that I know have done.

Same here, was not sure if this was by design or not, would like to hear from the dev's. I think most would vote for it changed to auto improve as shards are gathered if possible.

Yeah, that would be cool, so we don't waste time giving you dupes.
New music hooray! A bit of voice acting would be welcome as well. Maybe if FE is a commercial success we could get that in a future expansion.
Found city on best grain/gold within a couple turns march Start clearing local area of monsters and quests, give a wide berth to high level monsters As soon as you find your second hero and have leveled a bit, seek out an opponent of opposite faction Depending on how long it took you to find your first opponent, he/she should only have 1-3 cities, if at all possible take out his capital If you take out the capital, game over, if it was too strong
I'm not sure what you guys are talking about on the first point. I've yet to have a monster attack my city, only destroy resources if they are on the edge of the cities influence. Is that actually happening on normal games to you guys?? At least on the games I've played, normal feels about right (except the absent enemy player A.I).
