I agree with the direction of the op. My only concern would be if the A.I got a little too bloodthirsty and killed too many of the player aligned heroes. An option to turn on MoM style random event hero recruitment would be pretty cool.
Rhadagast
That guy really loves money.
If it's less than $20 it's a good deal, I felt it was a fair price at $20. For me, not a lot of replay value, but a good game, never crashed, and has some real potential if they come out with some good mods/addons/dlc. Not nearly as ambitious as FE, but good at what it does.
Quoting Rhadagast, reply 2I think it's safe to say there will be a lot more map options in the final release, so you should be able to pick a few that will scratch your itch so to speak. It really is never safe to say that about any game. I have learned over the years with following game development that you should never assume something will be in the game until you actully see it.
Considering there are ba

Yeah, happens to me too, super annoying.
Yes, taming my own pack of Umberdroths was a lot of fun.
Yeah, I have done it before, the only thing I can think of is that city is too close so it's not letting me build. Also the pic below shows the quest location that can not be completed. http://i.imgur.com/x1hWz.jpg
Location for the first part of the dragon lord's quest appeared in the "wall" of Imperium (sic?). Though I could create a path to it, once my units got to the destination they just sat outside it, unable to enter. Quest locations need to ensure they treat the wall like it was water. Another possible bug and probably unrelated, I killed everything in Imperium, as far as I can tell but still can not settle it as it says it's owned by someone else.
Pretty sure that is by design. Would be nice if you could actually cast it at range.
I have seen this as well, randomly though, I think it has to do with very high initiative units.
My all-time favorite series are Dan Simmon's "Hyperion", "Fall of Hyperion", "Endymion" and "Rise of Endymion" books. .
Dan Simmon's stuff is great, I stopped at fall of Hyperion because I thought it was a perfect ending, but may pick up the other 2 if I get a chance sometime.
Wow! + Added the Binding faction ability (assigned to resoln, their shard shrines summon special elementals like camps) gota try this out + Experience gained from battle is now scaled based on world size my prayers have been answered + You only get free city defenders if you founded the city Whoa, a big change, makes creating milita type units more neccessary + Most quest battles can now be delayed (you can choose to come back later) Much appreciated
You must read The Kingkiller Chronicle series by Patrick Rothfuss . 2 of the 3 books are out. If I am not mistaken FE includes at least one very thinly veiled reference to it in the quest that allows you to build the carnival of the winds (probably named that wrong but you know what I mean if you ever got the quest). I've read a ton of scifi/fantacy and this is as good as it get's. Also the entire Elric of Melnibone saga is fantas
I voted yes, I find it less and less likely many people that have good enough other hardware (graphics card) to play a modern game don't have a 64 bit CPU. That being said, a I'm constantly amazed how much hardware programmers of all genres (game and app) think they need to make a decent looking and playing piece of software. I guess I'm just an old fogey, but I wouldn't want 64 bit to just allow for more sloppy code with regards to memory management.
Though it might be cool, I can't personally say I would play MP. Now, if I was a kid again with endless time, the answer would of been hell yes. A more interesting survey might be would you rather pay a dollar for two more fully realized factions or sea battles or X or MP..... [e digicons]:)[/e]
Yeah, great job, now get back to it! [e digicons]:)[/e] Edit: man, I feel like I just got to watch the first half of a movie then the power went out.
lol i wondered why magnar had 8 greaves after he joined my side.
I've played so much now that I just do it by default, but yeah super frustrating the first few games, also the shift click lag to group units when you bring them out of a city is rough.
In 0.912 I remember often watching a AI army prancing around acting hard, then getting kicked on its arse by some wandering beasties. Not only did this make me laugh but also made the game feel real somehow.
I concur. One main change I'd like to see is the exp for heroes to be based on map size.
Oh I don't know, taking a risk and sneaking in the monster's lair is kinda fun. Maybe add a chance for a monster to spawn in the "empty" lair if the on screen monster is still kicking.
About 30 minutes into a game, and I'm at an impasse. Get attacked by 3 darklings, I kill them, but after the last one dies, game just sits there. I suppose that is one way for the A.I to win.
But they might as well be just points in an arcade game. The money is largely meaningless since most hyper-driven people never spend even a fraction of what they amass.
Ironic isn't it, I've seen this first hand. My former colleague was an 80 hour a week guy, wrecked his health, his marriage, everything. He's a millionaire now, though I'm not sure I'd trade places with him.
there... are... four... lights! heh heh
