Yes I'm home. I was making a joke. Don't take things too seriously on the forums here. *Sigh* Let me go edit my post to remove any confusion. /Doesn't get song reference

Damn... Not another MMO. Elemental is dead to me now. x_x /joke
This Summer we are hoping to put up some flash movies on the site to help introduce players to the lore of Elemental. The movies would be organized as a timeline starting at around 10,000 years before the Cataclysm.
I don't know what you plan on doing, but don't do anything too fancy. I don't like sites that use so much flash and other programs that the sites stop feeling like websites.
One of the factions is called Pariden and is led by the beautiful Sor
Incidentally, it has not been named yet so feel free to suggest names.
I shall name it a "Bog Wolf". The stories of "The wolves of the bog" are a common camp fire tale used to scare young kids. Creatures lives in the swamps. Anyone traveling around swamplands late at night become their prey. No one has managed to survive once they become their prey. Victims who ran to the "relative safety" of a nearby town only serve to doom the town itself. Only a rare few man
I don't like this idea. Currently, there is no way to replace lost essence short of gaining levels. I feel it would deaden the idea that your channeller is immortal, and powerful if his essence is leaking away. It would also deaden the idea that he's really getting more powerful when he levels up if he's destined to fall back to where he began (or even further back). I mean, if his essence is leaking away, how did he manage to keep his powers before the game began?
You only need a working PC to play the game. No disc in the tray, no SecuRom, no internet connection, etc... This is Stardock's policy. In fact, Stardock had even got thanks from a soldier stationed in Iraq (he sent an American flag) because he could play GalCiv 2 over there with no trouble. If you don't have internet, then buying this game through Impulse, or getting updates might prove difficult. I'm not sure about the details cause I have a good internet connection at home so I nev
I'm not going to join twitter just so I could win a signed box. *Shiny* [e digicons][/e] *Coughs* I'm that easy to bribe.
From what I understand is, most heroes in Elemental are wandering around indepently. They don't work for any soveriegn. You can try to recruit heroes. Once they work for you, you can control them like you would with any other unit. Same with dragons. This might change later depending on player feed back.
I suggest you change the title of this post. Its misleading (differs from the topic), it has the same title another post made a few hours ago, and both are posted by you. This one: [link="https://forums.elementalgame.com/375367"]https://forums.elementalgame.com/375367[/link] For this post, I suggest a title of "Majesty inspiration for Elemental".
I didn't care much for the MMO component. I purchased a copy because it had a single player option, and I figured that when I have the cravings for a "Sim City" like game, I'll start it up. That hasn't happened yet so my copy remains unplayed.
@ NelsMonsterX, reply #7
p.s. I DL'd Diplomacy Friday night and was able to play it. Is that still a beta version or were we all treated to an early release? (It's awesome BTW)
It seems to be an early release. See link. [link="http://frogboy.impulsedriven.net/article/375110"]http://frogboy.impulsedriven.net/article/375110[/link]
Have you been able to install and play other games? Do you even know where to look? If not, try looking for a tab called "My Games" (look near the top of the window). Open it (click it). You should have a list of games that you can install (assuming you have them). From there, right click a title and select install. If that doesn't work, then send an e-mail to stardock support and they'll get back to you in a few days time. [link="mailto:"]support@s
*Sigh* Stardock's Janitor/Beekeeper is at it again. Someone tell him to stop acting like he's the CEO. /joke
er.......whats a solid state drive?
[link]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solid-state_drive[/link] Basically its a label for a device that has no moving parts. The current generation has more in common with a piece of RAM, than the more common variety of hard drives (which uses spinning magnetic disks). They are supposed to work better, and they do cost more.
Do we even wanna know?
If someone has to ask that question, I need to know. What are these terms that you guys are talking about?
Are any of these spells going to cost mana for these early tests? I mean, if they don't, we'll probally go hog wild or something. What about essence costs? I ask because I want to terrorize a world, you know, like right now. *prepares a spell of "delusions of grandeur" and readies to cast it on himself*
Let me offer you some ideas for alternative means for mana generation: 1. The soveriegn can generate all mana types. The crystals only help to give the soveriegn a percent increase (or whole number increases) to their base rate. Having a lot of fire shards would allow a soveriegn to be a great fire mage, where as other soveriegns are pitiful fire mages in comparison... until they decide to show you what they've been saving up for. 2. Shards are the best sources of elemen
Yes, I see only part of the "view all edits" button. Clicking it works as expected so I haven't made it much of a concern. I'm using Firefox here.
If this is true, then there are 2 reasons why I'm not buying games from them. 1. My machine has Terrabytes of storage. I don't need an online site to store my games. If anything, I doupt they would appreciate me storing as many saves on their servers as I do with other games locally. I'm certain I would among the first to hit the save limits (if there is going to be any). 2. I hate logging in to play games. I not sure what factor(s) make loath the idea so much, but for me its
Do we get spells to choose the appearance of our children? I mean not just to make them look pretty (instead of ugly). I want to be able to give my kids green, blue, pink, and/or purple hair just because I think it would look cool (I've watched too much anime). Designer babbies basically. I mean seriously, I'm *THE* soveriegn and channeler. I can bring life back to a barren world. I can casts magic spells. I can even research the "master of magic" spell. If that isn't reason enough to
Not likely. It would be a surprise to many if they did. Stardock is commited to Windows at the moment. Maybe if the Mac market share grew a bit bigger, they might reconsider.
I apologize to all for not making into your Beta program(my fault).
You need not appologize for not being part of the beta. Its hell right now, and the devs still kid that this game will be the cause of your hard drive breaking, the leaking of your banking information to the net, securom, psychological truama, live scorpians... etc. Read the dev posts cause my memory seems to be a bit fuzzy on the horrors that the elemental beta causes (side effect?). Now if you
Not a bad idea. I however, give a higher priority on having an "in game clock". That way I don't play till 5 in the morning. I'm all for the "Turn Counter" after I have my clock. However, the user interface will likely change before the game is released, so I wouldn't worry about things quite yet.
Edit: Adjusted a few details @BoogieBac, original post I remember those games well. Good picks if you want to set a point. I could add comments for all of them, but I'll add other picks instead. - The planet killing city - Midgar (FF7) [link="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBvnot7pkvg"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBvnot7pkvg[/link] I doubt that any single video would set the mood the city "Midgar" gives the game, but you should
I'll add some quests I want to be able to do later. For now I want to describe how I want the quest system to work. Looking at the picture in reply #6 gives me a sense of dread. This dread isn't because of the rats in the basement (which could be horrifying if they are big enough). Its because I don't ever want to be forced to deal with a quest the moment I'm informed that its available. I would like to get the message, and write it down in my journal notebook. I would like to be able
