You already got the Shard by building the Altar. The upgrades only increase the Mana generated. [Edit] The UpgradeComparisonID just tells the game to compare the values with the same ID number of the current building and the upgrade. If the values of the ID are the same, they don't change. If they are not, the ones of the upgrade get used. The values for the Shard count stay the same, so they don't change. The values for the Mana generated are different, so they get updated.</
I think we should return to the idea of units costing population to create, especially pioneers.
[e digicons]o_O[/e] Ahm, they still do. Check the population in one of your cities, rush buy a unit and then check the number again. It will have gone down by the size of the unit.
Could you lead him / them on a tour of the AI player's cities ?
I wish I could have, but my Sov and my only champion were off scouting for new expansions and were too far away to come back in time. My two(!) cities and the regular troops were cut off from each other by Albino Spiders, Bone Ogres and armies of Ignises and Fire Elementals, which were all pouring out of the Burning Lands. Delin and the Ashwake were just t

If you kill a unit with the sword Pyre Brand, an inferno appears in it's tile. However, if you kill a second unit in the same tile, the visual of the inferno disappears. The damaging effect still remains, though. I'm not sure, if this also happens with the Soulburning spell or just with the ability of Pyre Brand, as the AI wasn't cooperating during my test battles. Another visual bug is, that enemies simply disappear, if they are killed by the fire damage from Pyre Bran

Great work on that list! I agree with most of it. Some comments on a few of your issues: Upgrading the size of units This has been requested several times, but hasn't been implemented yet. I heard, that it is possible to mod it in, but I haven't tried that yet. Examining units during combat This is already possible. Just double-click on a unit and the Unit Details will show up.

Maybe a stupid question, but is your faction an empire or a kingdom? You need to use an empire, so you get access to Death Shards and Death Magic. Your Sovereign also needs to have at least Death II to cast Corruption.

Agreed! I don't want to see Delin or his Ashwake Dragon pet in my cities ever again! At least not during the first 70 or so turns.

From what I can tell, Essence comes mostly from Crystal Crags and Shards. The Shards in the Imperium Wildlands are just too far away to have an effect on the settle-able location. On the other hand, in the Curgen's Tomb Wildland, once cleared, you can find a 423 location in the middle and, if they are not blocked, some 422 locations on the outer edges. In other words, it depends entirely on what resources in the Wildland exist and how they are placed, if the city-locations have

If you have a save game with a Governor hero stationed in one your cities, the growth bonus is not applied after you reload the game, even if you end the turn several times. You have to move the Governor out of the city and reenter it for the bonus to be applied again.

I noticed now several times, that my Prestige increased by 2 instead of 1 after I selected an Almshouse when one of Towns reached Level 4. The last couple of times I made sure nothing else would happen during that turn, that would increase Prestige, to make sure it really was the Almshouse selection. At one point two of my Towns reached Level 4 at the same time and I selected the Almshouse for both. Afterwards, my Prestige was 4 points higher than the turn before.

After building the Alchemy Lab in one of my cities, the Tooltip showed a bonus to Materials of +5, despite the city only having 3 Essence. The City Details, however, showed the correct total amount of 6 (3 base and +3 from the Alchemy Lab) and also used the correct amount to calculate Production. So, only the Tooltip is wrong.
Is it on purpose that Dispel Enchantment does not work against Curse City?
It definitely works, as I have used in a couple of my games now. Maybe your enemy cursed your city several times? I had to dispel 5 or 6 Curse City spells from one of my cities last time.

I had the same thing happen to me with Delin, the Pyre of Man, in my first game of Beta 4. He left the Burning Lands, after Magnar sent a Scout inside, accompanied by several armies of Bone Ogres, Albino Spiders and an Ashwake Dragon. Needless to say, that my only two cities didn't stand a chance. Game over after about 70 turns. I don't think that this is intentional, but at least it establishes the Wildlands as places to be feared and better left alone in the early game.</

There is a softcap of 1000 seasons, but it only matters for the endscore. Any turn after the 1000th seasons is not getting counted for your highscore, but you can play for as long as you like.

I was under the impression that all blunt weapons were supposed to have the new Bash ability now, but some are missing it. The ones I noticed were Staff, Queen's Staff, Monk's Staff, Sindarian Staff, Banishing Mace, Doom Maul and Titanic Maul. Update: Some more blunt weapons missing the Bash ability: Doom Club, Champion's Club, War Club, Curgen's Hammer, Scepter of Dominion, Sculla's Mace and Vetrar's Fist.
