'Demonic Ally' is a tactical ability. Click on the 'Skill' tab during combat. It should show up there.

This tile acts like a river, but looks like plains. Edit: Here is the savegame with this issue. The tile is northwest of New Pariden. This savegame also has a Resoln Outpost on a quest location.
