Let's review what Vieuxchat said. Almost completely unrelated, can't you give an example of what you call "Populus"-like powers? I remember the suggestion of "burning a hole in the map" from way back, like someone pressed a cigar against it, resulting in a big hole in the game world, with possible hilarity as the ocean pours into it in massive waterfalls. I still think that's a good idea.
I have no idea what it is about, but when I watched the trailer I couldn't help but giggle like a happy little child.

The difference between Futurama and Firefly is obviously that the cast of Futurama doesn't have to deal with real life. They can just pick up where they left of (more or less) and continue like nothing happened. Firefly is another deal entirely. But yes. I would definately watch. Firefly was absolutely splendid.
From what I've seen, it appears like much any other 'popular propaganda' movie. Just with superior technology.

Just to see if it breaks or not.
If I remember correctly, in the base GC2, the various races/factions weren't really different. But that was no longer the case in Twilight of the Arnor where each race have specific technologies and buildings greatly altering the way to play them. I was very impresssed with the changes to the way the GC2 factions play. Each civ feels quite distinctive now, especially if you turn off tech trading or disable tech brokering.
Hopef

Who cares? It's console fare - the port to PC was quite possibly the most horrible mess I've ever had the misfortune to install on my harddrive. I am so glad I'm one of those filthy pirates, or I would've had to kill myself over the complete waste of money it would've been.
