Yeah, it's like, Tuesday or Monday or something. And here you are, chillin' away in an airplane while the grunts sweat and toil. Do your job as a taskmaster and get down there with the whip! D:

While we're on the subject of graphics, the Options in the beta really need drop-down menus. Having to keep pressing those arrow-buttons is *such* a chore. Just sayin'.

You get a nice box, Manual , and a shiny coaster. Then simply grab the cracked version of it where you can play singleplayer(and some even MP) without ever installing steam. Stop making crappy games and crappy console ports, and I will buy your games. If you insist on making weak unimaginative console ports, I won't. Heh. Pass, then. If it's just too good to pass up for whatever reason, I'll just pirate it.
I absolutely loathe Steam, so count me in on this. I just cannot rely on something that isn't futureproof. And Steam is so very, very far from that.
This is where I'll chime in and just say that I absolutely hate the way you've divided it up into "Kingdoms" and "Empires", instead of more iconic, individual, descriptive names, regardless if they belong to the western or eastern bloc and their race(s). There. I said it.

Religions are control forms based on a supreme authority/entity/power, priests being the arbiters between the divine and the mundane which obviously grants them lots of power in societies where other kind of social structures hasn't been developed yet (except those ones who expand in all the areas of a society so they can have total control of it and perpetuate themselves ad astra).
Your judeo-christian outl
The problem with that is that religion spreads on its own and you have very little ability to suppress it. You can choose your state religion but that will really cripple you if that choice does not agree with the choice of your population. If religion did not influence the AI's behaviour it would have almost no effect at all (besides bonuses from temples that were already present from previous games that lacked religion).
Y
