If one is afraid that too many options will scare casual gamers (if they ever play such games) then the options could all default to normal, and one can have a button to Advanced options where all the goodies are "hidden".
Frankly the option list as it is, is already scary. A lot of these options should be hidden in an advanced tab.

Opening "game within a game", eg loading, new game, etc. is a known issue (I've read somewhere...) but I'm sure an email to support with the debug would help!
4) Quests as hero busy work - really just there for heroes to run around and get a few items. Don't feel that killing a bunch of wolves and getting a leather helmet as a priority for my entire kingdom. ***having monster guarding bonuses is great, just they should be guarding things that have relevance to a kingdom and not just a neat toy for a hero***
Quests right now are clunky. Why is there no "Ques

Having all surviving winners being able to get full experience for just being present on a battlefield is a big part of why heroes gain levels so quickly when they are in groups.
I will (fourth?) this. Although worth pointing out that death during battle does prevent XP gain (which is correct imo).
Spell placement in the spellbook could use some ordering. Make it by Element, by Power, by Type (tactical or strategic). Something. Right now it is, uhm, "shapeless" Ditto for the stats in the character's sheet. Maybe a column would already look better. Also, when you gain a level not even the attributes are singled out anymore. We can live with all of this of course, but little things have their
I think it would add much more interest to make shard types not have exact overlap or duplication with spell book types. Ie when you capture a Fire Shard, it unlocks fire-themed spells from a variety of books: Fireball (Combat), Brilliance (Enchantment), Summon Fire Elemental (Summoning), Create Desert (Ruin), Thaw Tundra (Revival), etc.
This is cool.
Yes there is. I play in only cloth mode cause my computer doesn't like switching between 3D and cloth mode a lot. It does a lot of graphic lag while it loads the 3D stuff since it's so old. Anyhow more to the point revive land has a slight green tint to it. It is kinda hard to see I will admit though as well as being very rare.
Ok well that isn't clear to me. And the toggle terrain isn't intuitive.

From the cloth map all land looks the same. In beta 2a this wasn't a problem, since revived land only appeared in players' influence. In beta 2b revived land appears at random in the world. There is no way to tell land is revived from the cloth. This will need to be fixed for players using cloth only mode, and those of us that like spending most time playing on the cloth map (currently due to graphics issues with latest drivers). I guess different shade
I had this problem with a Gold Deposit that was 2 tiles from the nearest building. After building a hut adjacent to the deposit, I was able to build the deposit (inside city borders both times, and all listed requirements met both times).
I have now found myself unable to build refugee camps, gem mines, gold mines, shards and oasies - all seemingly at random. Sometime they became build-able when I had b
Yeah, this quest is a bit borked right now: Is Eldorad correct that you're supposed to be answering a riddle/question? It had seemed to me that I was already congratulated and was being asked to select a reward (which then wasn't being given). I never saw any question/riddle to answer.
I agree with EVERYTHING above. Mana = Wisdom x 2 (or x3), Essence = Wisdom; keep the stats separate. Essence can get reduced each cast so you essentially run out still, but still allow mana to be used to cast other spells.
This. Seems so obvious that I thought this was how it worked until the beta started!
Yep, feeling the same way. Listening to all ideas on it.
Why not de-link essence and spell points? Ie. Spend essence on the above things as normal but have a seperate mana pool affected by Wisdom. At the moment it's not logical. You spend 5 essence and lose 5 maximum spell points, making some spells naturally impossible to cast. Or is this just a bug?

Buildings disappear from my cities. Thus: http://www.screencast.com/t/ZmUzNjY0OD I can fix this by scrolling out to cloth map, clicking the build icon and then scrolling back in. Thus: http://www.screencast.com/t/MGUzNmI3O My debug.err available once I figure out how pastebin actually works!

I can't remember the specific goodie, but the reward was a two-handed sword. The reward text stated the sword must be "wheeled with two hands". Should be "wielded with two hands".
