I find steam very convenient. I buy most of my game on it. It has pretty much led me to stop pirating games now that I can get them even faster through steam. GOG is good too, i haven't tried impulse.

I agree completely with your break down. Any trait that just grants a tech is useless. Anything that grants a small bonus lie +1 initiative is almost useless. Some of these are hard to choose because the abilities they grant are poorly explained like caravans or some of the spells. I still don't know what the 50% diplo does. You only get 2 points (3 with a weakness) the abilities you get should alter the play style of the race not make a small statistical c
I think that it would be a good idea to ascribe certain behaviors to different types of monsters including having some go after resources or units near them. They definitely should spawn new lairs in areas that remain uncontrolled for long periods as well. It would add a better reason to actually build units. I rarely build more than a few non-pioneer units in a game. My heroes are usually enough to win. My current game on hard is at winter 193 an
I believe you are trading research points. I usually see some progress in a tech that I haven't researched after doing a trade.
I'm sure they are reading the bug reports and they must be compiling their own list of bugs so that they know what they are doing. Posting that list to the forum would not be very time consuming or difficult and it would enable us to give much better feed back. It is difficult to evaluate something, if you don't know whether or not it is working.
I'm not looking for credit or a bounty. But it would be nice to find a bug and check it against a list of confirmed bugs. that way we can avoid repeat posts and avoid trying to use broken features. It would also help us differentiate between a bug and a misunderstood feature. But to the point, does anyone know if the trade bonus works?
Please adjust the unit cycling so that it does not automatically cycle to another unit after a battle when the original unit still has moves. It can be quite confusing.
It would be really nice, if they would post a running acknowledgement of the bugs found so far.
I tried playing a game with the Diplomat ability but saw no evidence of the +30% valuation to trading. Does this work? Am I missing something?
It would be nice during tactical combat to be able to get as much detailed info on the enemy as you can during the strategic phase. This is the time when its really important to know their strengths and weaknesses. Also, when the AI goes first it often casts spells so fast that I miss what its doing and have no way of checking what its actions were.
I just fought a battle against some scrap golems. One of which I webbed but he was still able to move, even though it still said he was webbed for several turns before he resisted it, he was able to continue moving.
I noticed that my sovereign, who I cast regeneration on at the beginning of the game, was regenerating only 1hp per action. Now that I have 4 life shards it should be 5. I dispelled it and recast it and now it is 5hp per turn. I'm not sure whether this is happening to other spells or not. here is my game: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/82215619/QuickSave.EleSav
It would be nice to be able to see the roads better, especially when they run through forests and other things.
I don't know exactly what the bug is but why is a caravan leading an army? Shouldn't they just be running between cities?
I see that now. I'm not sure it was calculating off 3 though. It took over 100 turns to build anything even after I bought it a workshop and tower of dominion.
Its practically useless without any materials.
They would would like to offer me tribute. I'm sure the stutter is just from my awesome power. Resoln said "We would would like to offer you tribute. If it pleases you, ......"
I have a game where I captured a city from Gilden and it has a base of 0 materials. The city is Deorcnysse. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/82215619/no%20shields.EleSav
Thanks. The Hiergamenon, needs a lot of work.
Thanks for the advice. What is the difference in function between "growth" and food?
In the quest "The Killing Jar", the third paragraph should have a comma between "more" and "merchant". It should read; "I will be okay." the boy says, "If I find a few more, merchant Eblis will give me dinner and a better task."
I agree, it would nice to be able to switch weapons.
You need to have an army with a hero and at least one other unit. You click on the hero's portrait in the lower left hand corner during the hero's turn and that brings up the details on the hero. At the top of that where the name is, there are arrows to move to the next unit in the army. Hit that and cycle through until you get back to the hero. At that point the equipment, trade/shop, and details buttons will be at the bottom of the details window. Click equip
Thanks.
Can someone please explain how population growth works? I have done some searching on the forums but can't find an adequate explanation for 915. I have a game going where I have 9 cities and all of them are level 1 with 0.6 growth. There doesn't seem to be anything I can do to speed this up. I have built every building possible in ever city. All of the growth enhancing buildings require level 2 cities.
