I tried playing a game with the Diplomat ability but saw no evidence of the +30% valuation to trading. Does this work? Am I missing something?
I tried Veteran ability, but got no extra level when I produced the units. There are quite a few bugs for them to hunt. Since they are working on a full new beta version that will take a month (at least), I hope that we get a bug patch in a week or two. A patchlog with 20-30 bugfixes would make me a happy puppy 
It would be really nice, if they would post a running acknowledgement of the bugs found so far.

Lacking these kinds of things always makes me feel developers are ignoring they're community, especially the one doing the "most important" work with bug finding.

I would say let them spend their time weeding out the information they want to make fixes. I wouldn't expect them to spend much time on updating the community on their day to day accomplishments when they are spending it making such an epic game. They put this community in place for that reason, not to simply ignore. But if you are looking for credit, i'm not sure they will be so accommodating with the many people that have helped them find bugs. I for one just hope we all help shape this game to be the one game we all want before the time for them to stop paying attention is here.

I'm not looking for credit or a bounty. But it would be nice to find a bug and check it against a list of confirmed bugs. that way we can avoid repeat posts and avoid trying to use broken features. It would also help us differentiate between a bug and a misunderstood feature.
But to the point, does anyone know if the trade bonus works?
To be honest, I don't expect responses from the developers, though I'm glad when these occasionally occur. They're not here for us. We are here to help the developers beta their product. If we didn't like this, we wouldn't be involved. Anyone's welcome to drop out, and just wait for the final game. Me? I put up my reports, and understand they're being read. Beyond that, I like the direction FE is taking, and don't expect my desires to be met--though I do expect most (if not all) bugs to be quashed before release.
I'm sure they are reading the bug reports and they must be compiling their own list of bugs so that they know what they are doing. Posting that list to the forum would not be very time consuming or difficult and it would enable us to give much better feed back. It is difficult to evaluate something, if you don't know whether or not it is working.
