I am expanding as we speak. The particles in my body are moving further and further away from each other at an undetectable rate that is in-line with the rest of the universe. For better or worse though, I'll be long dead before it affects me in any noticeable way. Which is a shame, because it might have caused the elongation of certain appendages. I play piano, so having longer fingers would be an advantage. [e digicons]|-)[/e]

After the death of Jabba, the Huts and their organised crime ring have all but dissipated, and control of Tattooine has been given over to the common thugs. The enforced stability once enjoyed by the residents there has been stripped away, and the streets are dangerous even during the day. There are reports of nearby systems exerting influence over the region, and working towards establishing a puppet government that would be friendly to their causes. Factionalism and insurgency have resulted

Incidently, the Trowls Synonymous meeting has been altogether cancelled, as the mass rush of fanboys has caused the bridge to collapse. Sadly, we lost SolidSmooky in the carnage of the wreck, may he rest in 2 beats, and then come back with the string section of the Treasure Trolls 'In the hall of the mountain king' theme song adaptation.

Just to let you all know, the next meeting of Fanboys Anonymous has been pushed back till after the release of 1.1 as a result of the testing of the BETA versions, which as all Fanboys need to remember, are not actually called Perfectly Working Superfun Nerdgasm Machines. I'm looking at you Sethai, take off the rose-coloured glasses. Also, just as a heads up to the early-meeting minutes, our Lor-.., ahhem our friend Brad has politely requested that those community members who

How is it that a BETA version of a game does not function like the post-BETA version? Does BETA mean that the developers are somehow testing the game out with those community members who have agreed to try out the BETA and possibly give feedback? That just sounds ridiculous to me, and if you know me, you know I like ridiculous. [e digicons];P[/e] Seriously though, the rewording of the OP into a constructive list of bugs/problems detected would be more in line with what

For example, a unit can only teleport between places they've already been. If each unit had to create teleport waypoints at each physical teleport location they wanted to pop between, and if there was a limit to the number of teleport waypoints, the cost and number of units in the s

They'll turn the game around, and then use all of this as preparation for Elemental II. Wow. Well done TimeBlossom and well done everyone who has posted so far. I don't remember anyone else starting a complaint thread that went this amicably. Usually it turns into Hella Mental: War of Spastics, and everyone jumps on the OP and tries to anally rape them with a rusted iron dildo. Then the lurking haters chime in and try to squeeze fanboys by the testicles with their stainless steel garlic crushers (which they still use afterwards for crushing garlic). Finally, a moderator looks in

War is big business. People are needed to fight wars. Most people who are doing fairly well in their lives won't volunteer for the army unless they believe that there is a truly serious threat at hand (i.e. not the Iraq war). If the money spent on war and unwarranted foreign aid was put into healthcare and education, there wouldn't be enough people willing to become recruits. For some people it's join the army, or live on the streets, or go to jail for something like drug dealing. That is a h

The human brain is the inhibitor of thought. Get rid of all that mess of switches and spaghetti network synapses, and you'd be able to think far more clearly. The impulse that traverses the brain cells is the real genius. That convoluted mash of pathways is slowing the whole process down.

You've got that right and half again IROKONESS. I just wish they'd leave us alone and stop playing these lame tricks on us. That is if they existed of course, which they don't! What most people don't realise is that 'The Truth is in here' and not 'out there'. Down and not West. Further than it is closer to a distant near seeming object comprised of semi-visible vectors. All you really need to do is close your eyes and block your nose before you can dive into the real truth. We

Ahh Bethesda... The first game I played of theirs was Delta V back in 1996, when I got my new Intel Pentium 100Mhz with Windows 3.11 for workgroups! 4X CD-ROM baby, with 800MB HDD and a Matrox Millenium graphics card - sweeeet. So we now have some notion of the relative chances of victory given certain unit types and quantities, and that's all very well and good. But how are you going to implement a system that reflects these types of odds? Obviously, you can't just have the game enforce what 'should' have been the outcome, so you need a combat system to account for these expectations. I've made some suggestions already, so does anyone else have an idea in mind of how these calculations should be carried out
