So, non-egalitarian factions will find the following joke funny: Why did the woman cross the road? Who cares? What was she doing out of the kitchen? And, as Peter Griffin supplied as an answer to a particular question... 'So you have something to look at while you're talkin' to 'em!' [e digicons][/e]

But the crew and ship interaction was pretty much the whole game (from memory). I have no idea if this game was even popular to be honest. I can't even remember where I got it from.

Make it so that minor factions are the pawns who would be Kings when they reach the other side of the board. In other words, they should have a chance to become a major faction. They might also come into their own as a permanent ally to the player(s) who were allied with them whilst they were still minor. Which brings me to my next question: Is it political paedophilia for a major faction to have relations with a minor?

Ambassadors work much like the Federal Reserve Bank in that they generate Diplomatic Capital without any tangible diplomacy advantages. They then use this diplomatic capital to take over portions of worthless minor factions from their leaders at full price, thereby acquiring toxic assets for you. The leaders of these factions then loan you diplomatic capital that is now washed, and can be used with major factions. You pay a very small diplomatic interest on these bonds, though the leaders are

I still think a combination of the two systems would have been a more interesting solution. Have sovereigns use the global mana pool, whilst offspring and imbued champions have their individual mana pools. The loss of the essence stat didn't bother me, because you can easily simulate essence in a better way. For example, an imbued champion takes up mana upkeep per turn to remain imbued and be able to cast spells with their own individual mana pool. If you like the concept of t

Some good ideas here. Personally, I would switch piercing and slashing below. [quote quoting="post"] Damage Types With the inclusion of armor types, 3 damage types should also be used. In Gal Civ II, 1 defense type was fully effective against 1 damage type. I'm proposing something similar. If the armor type is effective against a weapon, the weapon has its attack reduced by 33%. Blunt: Countered by Light Armor. <b

The team at Stardock take all suggestions made anywhere on the Interwebs and put them into a numbered list in the order they found them. They then implement every suggestion that falls on a prime number, and then every suggestion with a number that corresponds in any way with Mickelmas Tuesdays on the calendar. Finally, they run all the suggestions through a shuffling algorithm so that the words interweave into new and more interesting suggestions, and then start the process all over
