-Milk should be listed as a sub-resource to Food, and needs to be watched constantly on a per-city, per-turn basis to check if it has gone bad. The Sovereign has to be in the city to personally inspect the Milk stores.
It just struck me that this would be a very effective way to prevent city spamming. Just add tedium as a disincentive.

I think something even more intrinsic to the magic-fantasy-adventure theme is in order. Less buttony and windowy, more parchmenty and crystal bally. The UI textures should be richer and more detailed, and should use concepts from within the theme to enhance immersion.

I add my vote to this. I also have another suggestions which I think may have been mentioned already. The equipping screens. I can't put my finger on it, but something just doesn't feel right about it. The items highlight in green to tell you they are in use. I think you definitely need set slots, as there is always a solid sense of satisfaction in placing the round peg in the round hole, and the square peg in the square hole, and hearing that reassuring 'equipped' sound effect.
How would this be any different from an individual pool, in the end? It would basically be the same thing in many ways. If it's just a global pool, anywhere you have a caster you're at full strength. Your pool can't be very large, or your one caster will be a godlike entity, unleashing massive devastation all by itself. If they have individual limitations, the pool can be large, leading to

What you could do there is allow an Imbued Champion or Offspring to reach high level spells in their school of choice (over time), and only medium level spells in other schools (over time), and no spells in the prohibited school. This would differentiate the other magic users, and add a bit more strategy. It would also

I don't think Brad meant that mana would be shared between Channelers, Imbued Champions, and Offspring, because it doesn't make sense. The mana in the GMP is not the total sum of mana available in the world, but rather the 'power' that the Channeler has accumulated over time. This power is not literally sitting in some physical and separate pool waiting to be used as though it were gold brought in from the mines or food shipped in from the farms, rather, it is within the Channelers th

THANK YOU FROGBOY! [e digicons]:')[/e] I am very excited about the new magic system. I do concur with some others though that the GMP should be just for the Channelers to draw from as they please, and perhaps they should be limited to how much they can draw from the GMP per turn, based on their stats, abilities, and equipment. Whereas imbued champions and offspring need to have a mana limit per turn that is based on their stats, abilities and equipment as well,

Is this Bug (I assume you meant to say) repeatable? Meaning, if you start a new game again, do you still start at Turn 13 and then get sent back to Turn 13 when you reach Turn 32 every time? And is it always the case that you lose your Sovereigns' spouse? Also, do you always lose your equipment (do your clothes sag off?) as well when you get looped back to Turn 13? You might want to post this in the support section.

[e digicons]k1[/e] I think this gives a very clear example of some interesting combat mechanics for the game. If all or most of the unit abilities from MoM were included, I think most people would have more fun in tactical battles. Does your model include resistances?

5 Replies 32,906 Views

Just take every spell and every unit ability from MoM and implement it all (where applicable). Add the To-Hit stat, magical attacks and various resistances. Also, remove the researching for some of the more simple techs to make them a given (heroes, dungeons, etc.), and start the sovereign off with some spells. In this way, you will bottle that priceless element - nostalgia. It fogs up the glass so that people can't see clear enough to really complain about anything.

Will this affect those people who have ordered a box of either Standard or LE and have not yet received it? I imagine it would create some shortage of copies, or it could be that a box that was meant for Customer A was instead shipped to Customer B superfluously, and if not reported properly, may be considered to have been successfully delivered to Customer A. Any official word on this?
