I have had Magnar warn me of "the Yithril threat" message while we are at war ourselves. [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] !

There seem to be lots of little inconsistencies in the code that have existed since WOM. ConFUSTING indeed! Thanks for posting!
Yes!! Please fix! Thanks for posting, Trojasmic!
That is the other issue, they never beg for peace and offer you tribute. Offer me loot, a vassal (hero), or territory to appease my wrath.
Bandit Lord as
yeah, while the starting bandits are 'nicer' (swords rather than clubs) and the ability to convert them is entirely gildar based (as the bandit units aren't 'great'), it would be nice to boost this profession as there's just not enough bandits to go around. Another thing that can be done is to extend 'bandit' to include the Syndicate and other mob spawns that might
In the last two patches, Silver Tongue rose in price from 30 gp to 100 gp. I find that to be pretty tough, especially in the early-mid game when my economy is weak. I started thinking (I know, dangerous, right ?!? [e digicons]8O[/e] ) what if the player wanted to use some fame points to offset some of the gold cost? This would let a player use fame at a rate of 10 gildar for one fame. So a Sov hard up for cash might use fame and delay their next hero, but get
Aside from quests, lairs and buildings, can we receive Fame for defeating enemy Sovereigns and conquering cities? This could be part of the regular game or it could be a Commander level-up perk or starting Sovereign talent: Propagandist Say: 5 points for conquering a city or defeating a Sov in battle. 3 points for an enemy Hero. And if you are a kingdom and you raze a city of men, -10 fame? -5 for an Empire city? It ain't always
Regular troops could also give you a small reduction in unrest. Do we get anything for razing a city? I think Magnar gets slaves, but what's in it for the average Diplomat or Warlord?

I was able to with a Defender and a Warrior in 0.87 last night iirc... hmmm.
What about the poison vial? How come we can't buy that for our champions but we can definitely buy it for the soldiers? We can even FIND the item in the game, but even if we have the assassin race skill, we still cannot buy it for the champion...
I've wondered the same thing. That would be a nice and evil tweak to the assassin's trait tree... an increasing poison damage line for both r
The other thing to remember is that the new fame mechanic is the limitation on the number of heroes you can obtain. Unless you really go out of your way to maximize fame, most folks are only getting 4-5 heroes in the average playthrough... I actually didn't get the Bacco the Beggar quest this game, now that I think of it. So, with the fewer the heroes, the less stack of hero doom you can build... And nice elucidation of your idea cwg9!
Quoting NaytchSG, reply 45 Much better! Army of three or less is really tough. Can Tarth have basic bows unlocked at start of game? I thought that the expired message was a glitch, that the treaty still existed. {shrug} [e digicons]:jafo:[/e]
If beguile could stack and be for ranged and melee units that would be a workaround, I guess. But I had a double beguile yesterday in 0.85. With the brood archers now in the game, the spiders could do a web wall, protecting their ranged units for a few rounds with a sticky wall that lasts for 5 rounds, or you have to hit it with two melee units that are then stuck for two rounds to open it for other troops. It will only last 2 rounds if you set fire to it with a b
The thing is that nothing you say is particularly new. People have complained about heroes being too squishy forever. People have complained about xp splitting forever. And since they implemented the skill trees, people have complained about there being too many filler items. Some of the issues with the skill trees will likely be resolved in the coming weeks. But things like XP splitting and granting
It would also be great fun to find traits as treasure or quest items. Or to have wildland boss trophies to give some as well.

Nice to see quality loot for the Wildland Bosses!
Yes to OP and conversely I had a situation where a stunned lich got his spell off.
Perhaps make it the Adventurer profession ability to remove the XP split for up to three heroes in a stack? The henchmen thing is doable but I hate having to "research" them and then "build" them in a city at the Apex Tech Henchman Vocational School (Classes forming now! You keep your sword when you graduate!). I like the heroes' back stories. I would love them if each hero ca

Mass Bless to reduce the damage from Despair or Horrific Wail and/or provide some protection from demons and undead? Also Mass Haste, Mass Slow, etc.
Hummingbird pike does not give stated ability to summon air elemental in tactical combat.
