Am I the only one that has a gripe with the obscurity of the influence system? Honestly I cannot understand how does it calculate where the influence of a city will expand and when. I know that it is supposed to be a fixed number of tiles away from the last building of the settlement but I can provide screens with my cities expanding outside the city's influence. Oh and also what about the sovereign gaining essence without gaining levels (at least i did not level him up). One

I'm gonna copy here what I wrote in the forum of that other game that Raven X mentioned a while ago. Take it as ideas, take it as wishful thinking, take it as daydreaming of a devotee...take it as you wish. So...here goes: what I would really like to see would be an open ended game like Master of Magic, with grand maps and possible random generation of them. The tactical battles should be realized in pausable real time like the total war series but that is not a deal brea
The title says it all. Loaded splash screen, clicked once, then screen turned black garbage sound played and then game crashed to desktop.Only thing different than when the game last ran was having installed medieval total war 2 and having open two browsers with youtube site in one of them (noted because I have seen youtube interfere in video playback before) http://pastebin.com/m54f57a1e
Two things: 1) The reference of the three musketeers is probably made by Doumas from mount Athos itself. Nobility was renown for turning to monastic life when they left their noble post. Oh and if you haven't read the book don't try to understand this note. 2) Offensive does not mean just a swear word. This case would be kinda offensive to link a holy (to some) place with an unholy magical faction. Although these audiences are not that much overlapping I doubt that it would be
The display of the weapon, achievement, tech, or whatever advantage is gained at the 0% of each tech seems both redundant and confusing from a gamer's perspective. When the player sees the empty bar and the advantage there, she or he is left with the impression that it is still unresearched. While anyone with a basic math background can make the distinction I think that it would be best to clarify and put this at the end of a prerequisite tech and at the beginning techs make them somehow dist
Athos as a faction name (And an "evil" one as such) may be offensive to some. Specifically there is a place in Greece called mount Athos which is home to the eastern orthodox relegion's most revered monasteries and monks. I think that some would find such connotations offensive.
I noticed that in most menu choices, like resolution changes etc, there is only left right arrows to show each choice. I believe that it would be more intuitive to use pull down menus in order to make the choices available at a glance.
After having put Agriculture in the research slot I accidentaly dragged another tech onto it. The tech disappeared from the available techs just like it had been put into the queue. When I removed agriculture both techs showed up again in the available techs. When I dragged all techs over the agriculture tech they all disappeared and I could not even be able to remove the tech from the research slot. When I left the research screen and reentered all techs were correctly displayed and working.
After having found my first city I created some upgrades in it. Having done that i frequently visited the town to check on the progression. Thing that struck me as odd was that the city grid was not displayed after the first time. I thought it was due to not pulling any building tasks and that it would come up when I would try to build. But even then I only could place buildings blindly and without knowing how many tiles I would open further out by building. Odd thing is that after th
The bar at the bottom right sometimes does not display correctly the info about the tech being researched. Specifically sometimes the text is truncated at the description instead at the time remaining. Could either display first the time or to dynamically change fonts as to keep all the text fitting in the bar.
After researching warfare up to veteran unit training it is odd that the veteran unit training tech completion bar has no icon at the end for completion of the tech. Also at the bottom right, information about the tech says time for completion Never. I hope I am not doing something wrong.
After creating the game I put civilization to the research slot. Then I found a town and built an Inn and Castle in it. Then I pressed next turn and windows switched tasks and threw me to desktop while the application still ran. After the system stabilized I tried to activate the game’s tab but all I got was a black window of the game’s resolution in windowed mode. The program was not responding so i ended its tasks. <a href="http://pastebin.com/m
