I recommend not working super hard on the AI right now beyond putting a few band-aids on the really bad stuff. Activating multiplayer might sound like a super bad idea right now, but multiplayer is the thing that will expose the game rules that will need to change. If you finalize the AI now, when multiplayer comes around it will be clear that major changes will need to be made, and you'll either be forced to make separate rule

Is it too late to assume that this project is dead in the water since the OP has not posted since almost a year, particularly since the game has been live for two weeks?

Is there a way to "fine tune" the X,Y,Z Offests so they increment at smaller intervals? Currently, the slider (and wheel) moves them in significant "jumps" along the coordinates that makes it difficult to align the pieces with precision. Also, is there any grouping functionality?

Most knew there were flaws and holes in the game. They are just getting rewarded by Stardock's persistence and dedication, which is what made them "fanboys" to begin with. Thanks for the continuous communication, effort, and patches, Stardock. It is all appreciated. Reply to Modding Depth in WOM Mods

Modding Elemental was not some late addition to the game. It was a design-time decision. The game was meant to be moddable, from the ground up. No matter how "deep" Stardock makes the game, the community will successfully make it deeper. Once people start learning the ins and outs and all of the nuances, you will start seeing some amazing things in the modding community. Things that Stardock could not even imagine. So while I understand your sentiment, I

I'd suggest going outside for a walk for a bit. The precise is simple: the cost analysis of releasing a faulty product & some recall is offset by sales. Aka, they do it with full knowledge that they're releasing a faulty product, but the costs (even with lawsuits) are minimal compared to sales revenue. &nb
Some of the bad mechanics in this game lie more in the STRUCTURE of the research tree rather than the functionality. People are arguing against a misnomer ... TECHS or technology. Researching Technology implies new invention and mechanical discoveries. The Devs really messed up here because part of the research tree IS about inventing or rediscovering technology, BUT some of the 'techs' have nothing to do with technology and more to do with Lore and Information.
"Techno

This is a strategy game, not a simulation. If you want realism and things that make sense, then walk outside your front door, although it is debatable that you'll find it there. If you can't bridge the gap using your imagination, then I apologize for the short-sightedness. Heroes (for recruiting) do not have to "magically appear out of thin air." They are wandering the lands. Your researchers can make new contacts. These heroes could make themselves known
