I stopped trusting players when they flooded the internet with anti-Fallout 3 garbage. It seems like they find a few things they hate about a game, probably through reading about it, not playing and then go on some kind of Asperger hyperbolic tirade on every forum, and then the lemming basement dwelling troglodytes who find it hip to hate shit join in.

After hundreds of years of research, they get to 7, I've heard rumors of 9, but never actually seen it myself...
Fetid heap of criminals.
Exactly.
I don't really even understand the concept of troop size. What exactly are we researching? "You know guys...I was thinking...our troops are pretty good, they work pretty solidly in groups of three...but I was thinking that they would be even more powerful in groups of five." "What?!? Five? Is that even possible? How could five people work together to kill things? No, you dream to large, all science points to 3 being
That's not a bad idea. Yes, bandits suck, but being able to build a large army of sucky bandits would be pretty cool. And maybe giving them the option to build a "thieves guild" building that lets them build bandit troops? Like human troops, with shortsowrds, some leather armor, and throwing knives? But what would make them different than just being normal troops you build yourself...maybe hiring them like monsters? Maybe they are discounted form of
Bandit lord profession sucks monkey cock. Why would anyone pick this ever? The free units are the worst units in the game, except maybe the "dog" and serve no purpose at all. Single human club wielding, no armor units with 6 HP. What the turd is that suppose to help against? Maybe if they were archers with 20 HP, or maybe if they were in a "party" size, instead of single crappy bandits. Or upgradable. Or if instead of 2 crappy units, you got one
I think the alien head is the default avatar for those who don't ...um...have an avatar?
Life isnt' bad, growth, shrink, and heals are fairly useful.
They used OS/2 in the before time, in the long, long ago.
I loved both this video game and the old Planescape, back in AD&D 2e. I always recommend this game to people, and it's so cool that you can go to GOG and get this game, and others like Arcanum there.
I'm very curious about htis too, I think the AI must have some kind of cheat going for it, as it always seems to out expand me both in the size of their cities and in the number of them. If they are doing all this legit, than kudos to Brad for making them so smart.
I'm much more concerned about the combat numbers than anything else, so when my troops are getting one-shot killed, when my champions can't hurt anything until they find a super weapon, or when monsters don't one-hit kill large groups of soldiers...I might start looking at city building more.
With the change in how Champions gain experience, I have yet to get anyone to be a level 5 caster in anything.
I do own and play through DA2, and yes it was a disappointment considering I played through Origins 11 times, but after beating DA2 once, I can't even will myself to play it again.
I like the cities, but I do wish they took up less space overall. But, it's a minor issue and the teleporting thing isn't really an issue for me.
We DO need more damage spells. Each school should have, at least, one, single target ranged damage spell. All the buffs and deBuffs in the world are great, but it doesn't mean anything if you can't do the one thing in a fight that matters, doing damage. And I don't like the idea that all but fire mages have to rely on swordplay to kill enemies.
The staffs that do ranged damage is fine, its the magic staffs that do melee damage thats worthless to me.
Be great to see a functioning dispel spell. Both units and cities can be protected from spells to stop the attempts after application. The trick was getting rid of an effect after application. Looks like a wait and see from the Dev side of things. Would also be cool to have a damage rider to fire back on an enemy caster too. Have to give that some thought for advanced protection spells.
Kind of like Dom3 protection
I would like this also.
Especially since you can't make them any better. Someone might want to make them be able to defend themselves, so numbers would be useful in that regard, but since you can't design pioneer units, there really is no reason for them to be bigger than the party level, so I agree.
Dominons 3 has a Metacritic of 82. Although Dwarf Fortress has no critic reviews, so I give you that.
The thing is, that I want good and deep tactical when the battles matter and well done auto-battle when the fights are not important or very one sided. But when the shit is Battle of Badon Hill, god damn it I want to play a deep tactical battle.
I agree that what local, state and fed gov are doing to the occupiers is fucked up.
I never pay attention to player's reviews. People bitch and moan about critics, but the Metacritic score is usually pretty solid. The user scores are all over the map.
Lack of multiplayer changes everything! EVERYTHING! Black in now White, Up is now Down, Left is now Right! Cats are living in Harmony with Dogs! It's Chaos! It's Anarchy!
