"Militia" should be crap. I wish that armorshiths gave my militia chainmail and shields and armor smiths gave them maces. Chainmail and maces sounds like the highest form I would expect out of my city guard, realistically. Unarmored peasants with magic hammers, not so much.

The Book takes place about 600 years after the events of the games. It really doesn't give a whole lot of info about the different factions as they don't really exist at that time, the Altarians won the West. Thats about it...

I think I was 14 when it came out. It was another game. There were others I liked more, and others I liked less. But like many games that came out 15-20 years ago, it's now immortalized in memory and looked at through rose tinted glasses. What the game actually is and the game you remember are very different things. No matter how good FE becomes, it will be compared to this mythical game. And I mean myth, as in more fairy tale than fact.&n

It really was one of the few moments in my long TV watching experience that I was truly shocked. I expected Rick to talk him down, or anything that would end in both being alive. Amazing.

I would like a campaign to see a bit of the lore of the game, get a feel of the Sovs and their nations. I think a campaign could be fun.

Your computer makes mine look like an Apple II. I would think that it would play better. I know WoM had difficulties with high end machines though, maybe it's carried over?

That seems like a lot to me. It is common for beta's to crash, that is the reason we are given betas, to report crashes, but the amount you are talking about seems like a lot more than normal to me.

They are both random and limited, so very few even change what my champion can do. Seems like these things I pick are very unimportant compared to the gear I am able to find, and I hate that. Is my champion a badass or just a normal guy with a cool sword?

It's also a problem of geography. There isn't a lot of suitable land and they have to be far apart. My cities seem more independant because they are rarely close to each other. At best, a collection of city-states. I have a lot of problems with the map of FE also, not huge problems, but problems. Along with the problems of having a mostly unconnected cities listed above, they look awful, I doubt this is to change, as

I find the map snapping back to that position to be very annoying also. You can change the type of map generated, maybe if you try a different type it will be less mountains? I love the mountains, so I choose a "Mountainous" map.

I find Civ V to be the better game right now. But FE is still in beta. Right now my biggest problem with FE is the same I had with WoM, is that the champions, monsters, and armies are not balanced in a fun way to each other. Also, its very difficult to hold cities in this game, and easy to take them. This makes the best war strategy a genoicdal one of taking a single great army and then steam-rolling razing the enemy. Diplomacy is a mess so far, all the enemies a

The AI does spam very quickly. Not sure if it's a lack of monsters attacking them or not. That would be a huge advantage, and they seem to have a big advantage of some kind.

I'm probably in the minority, but I find champions to be pretty week overall, and these wounds just make weak units weaker. They have a hard time surviving battles to get levels ups, and are pretty weak until you find powerful magic weapons and are able to buy them champions gear. They pretty much just sit back and debufff with magic, or do nothing at all. I really wish Kael would have went in a different direction with how champions, armies, and monster combat numbers w
This kind of function is better suited to a citylevelup building at level 5. I have the apothecary set up to sell the injury healing potion. A great little reward for larger cities.
This is a good solution.

Not enough leveling for this to be real helpful. Rarely get past 10th level now, earlier builds got into the mid 30s. Especially since that first champion I gain usually ends with a ton of these as I don't have the patience to no autobattle most fights.

Pacifism isn't a mental illness, it's make-believe. Life and human nature isn't so simple and to think that being passive will gain the respect or peace of others is naive. To believe that if I choose to not fight back, the bullys will treat me with the respect I deserve is a joke. The Armenians met their Turkish rulers abuse with pacifism... Not every one with a gun is a sociopath. But having guns, is a huge responsibility. A lot

Its not the case. Al the squares around where a city is based effects how much food and materials are built. the number given, like 5/3 is the total you gain from that square AND the squares around it.

If those were our priorities, we wouldn't have evolved into humans, we would be some other animals food source. It would be nice if we could afford to prioritize anything other than the killing of other people. But what would happen if the good people of the world put down their weapons and chose to never use them again? They would become slaves. Speak softly and carry a big stick, I say.
