High initiative tank? Armored mages? That seems silly that I would have to design my archers mages in ways that are so unthematic. To me it's ridiculous how untactical the tactical battles really are. I just want to put my tanks up front, I shouldn't have to have to walk around with my weakest units up front and then hope my heavily armored tank is fast enough to run in front every time we fight.

Yes, but you are only going to have a tiny fraction of armor if you don't research the chainmail or plate techs, so moving the shield to the weapons techs really isn't going to provide much of an advantage. If you go "No Armor" you lose access to the chainmail and plate armor techs. You can't research it at all, you can't make them for soldiers or heroes. It's a big penalty. I think it's still a big penalty if they would now get access to the

Boo to you! You are still at a big disadvantage with only leather armor, shields would help me create a better light infantry as it's shields that really provide dodge bonuses.

I do hate that my archer hero, who is Wraith and has few HP is always at the front of the fight. If I fight wolves or something fast, they kill him before I ever get a turn. Wish I could at least decide how they are going to enter battle, and could put mages/archers in back.

Could we put all shields into weapon techs? The first shields are already there, like the wooden and round shields, but the later ones are tied into armor. I know this probably sounds like a waste of time, but I like to mess around with options when creating nations, so I like the idea of creating an army that is no armor, but defensive and has golem shields/tower shields.

I almost never crash. The game gets hung up, and I can't continue to the next turn. I can click on things, and I can save my game. But I will have to completely exit the game and open it back up and load the game from the save, and then it works fine.

I tried to be as concise as possible with the title. I created an Empire version of Altara. That gave me the ability to create henchmen, and those henchmen could use life magic. I would think that if I was empire sided, my henchmen would have death magic choices. Also, if you create an Empire faction from a Kingdom race, like Men, Mancers, Ironeers, etc, when you create your first city you get the "Kingdom formed" message and screen

Maybe metal and crystals also. A big part of war is using resources of the enemies. I think metal and crystals and gold should be given as rewards from army battles.

I came here today to post a bout not being able to train those spiders, guess that's taken care of. And I'm very excited about skin and hair choices for created nations. Also had some problems building a sacrificial altar. It was an option in the city, but when I clicked on build, it did nothing. I had a created faction, empire, race of Men, with Binding, Enchanting, Heroic, and Wanderer with No armor and Uneducated.

"патча" should be "путь" I think. I'm trying to get an idea what you are asking. Like you want to select the path of the mage, warrior, or assassin from the creation screen? And maybe have access to the items in creation, like the crown, in the game itself?

Go to New Game And create Sov. Up on the top right of the create sov screen should give you a button to create the faction for the sov.

This mysterious map color thing has been here since War of Magic, and has never worked. I'm pretty sure that it's actually the skin color of the selected race, but why it's called the map color, why it's there, and why it can't be changed is a mystery that I asked many times and was never answered.
