I think that if you are fast and I am blind, and you are attacking me, there is the tiniest chance that my wild swings make contact. As a D&D nerd, I want my chance to roll a natural 20.
Lord Xia
That is really bizarre. I've never had that happen.
That would be nice.
No way. I don't think that Elemental has any Magna Carta type regulations of the kings power, the Sovs are the ultimate power and own all things, no separation of nation and monarch.
Yea, it's funny, once you set them to explore, they are always exploring until you hit "explore" again to turn it off. You could move them manually for 10 turns, set them to guard, but as soon as you look away, they are off exploring again. But clicking explore a second time usually turns it off.
I'm curious as to what our better players will say with this. I've played several games, and I am as of yet unsure myself what the best strategies. I was a first always making my first city a town, but after awhile, I began to feel that a conclave or fortress provided a lot more. Now I tend to build 2 conclaves and a fortress before I ever build a town. Research and higher quality troops seems more valuable than what a town provides, which I think is growth and
I usually create my uber troop and then create an economy version.
I wish you could use influence when nations threaten you with their "pay or die" things. That seems the opportune time to use influence.
Well, I know it took me awhile to figure it out. I kept thinking, "Shit, didn't I just get done researching agriculture?" But it eventually dawned on me that it was repeatable. A tooltip or something saying it was repeatable would be helpful.
I thought the same thing with the agriculture, but figured it out. Maybe it needs a more noticeable tooltip saying it's repeatable? Then again, I could miss it if it was the only thing on the screen.
The funny thing with this bug, was my reaction when I saw it in game...first it was "Oh fuck they have a ton of hp!" and then it was "Shit with a million hp these guys would still be the worlds biggest pussies." I guess that was probably only funny to me[e digicons][/e]
I feel strangely and shamefully strongly about this for reasons I can't quite understand. Kraxis has to be gold and black. Capitar has to be purple. Tarth should be green. But the others can change I guess... Well, I still play with Umber and Capitar, all it takes is making them a Sov and the nations are already made.
Influence is something for nations with henchmen and the rest of us don't do much with it really.
That sounds pretty good. I have been really enjoying the latest build. Well done, I look forward to the next.
Rebelito, you are insulting his coworker and team member, and being an ass. Stand your ground? You have no ground to stand on. Who do you think you are? A long term customer. Well golly. That's a big pile of nothing. I will say as a medium time customer, I hope they have Jon do a lot more and I look forward to see what he does at Stardock. If don't like Civ V, so what? Obtuse people like you can't accept that a game can be good a
" I think that the Resoln penalty makes troops useless. Heroes can deal with it, troops can't." This is what I have found too. Your champions are getting more kills, and taking less damage, so the 3 hp gain is useful. Soldiers rarely get enough kills to make getting those 3hp balance out only getting 1hp per level.
[quote who="Zebrafox" reply="43" id="3242459"] Quoting rebelito, reply 38 I voted with my wallet already, didn't I, so don't complain... that was half a joke, half a "warning"... I just don't want the parrot to ruin another game I like (and my children, for that matter). You should learn to take comments lightly (but the underlying content seriously). How would I know what youve purchased or not? Take comments lightly/s
Computer ran Sovs get multiple paths all the time.
Yea, had a 5/3/3 but it didn't go well, decided to try and set my second city up next to a dragon and it woke up, ate all my cities.
Yea, I want easy edit and delete. This seems like it should be fairly simple, although I'm sure I'm wrong.
I got 5 sets of this one game, it is too common.
Well, there is one type of dragon that is weak to cold, it seems to me that the strategy to defeat it IS COLD MAGES!!! Seems fine to me.
Looks like a fun group and work environment, am jealous.
Right now, I can easily delete custom Sovs from the game, but have to open up the files to delete custom nations. It would be very cool if we could both easily edit and delete both custom Sovs and nations.
Also guys, you might want to polish a few little things. As I was was loading a new game, there is a picture up of a dark wizard with a little skull, and he looks pretty cool, but you can actually see his skin poking through his robes. He is clipping through his robes, and this isn't animated, its a still picture, but in it you can see the clipping. Doesn't look good.
