Well, the first thing you have to do with a Sion currently, is when it becomes available, redesign it so you can upgrade it's gear. And it can become fairly powerful as is, but it's really hard and really not worth it. Example of end game Sion, right out of the box. Now this is from a nation that has armorer, lucky, some hp boost from cities, etc, but you can see the Sion would be pretty tough and this is taken the turn it was trained.</

Hit the explore on the unit again. Once a unit is on explore, they are always on explore until you hit "explore" again.
Sions are a cool idea, I would love to use them, but they are so cost prohibitive.
I think this is a memory leak problem, I have them all the time. Just have to save, close and reload.
We need to have a long discussion about changed needed to make the Sion worthwhile. If you don't know, a Sion is an Empire trainable unit that gains champion abilities as it levels up, but can't learn magic. Now, that sounds fantastic, like henchmen. It's not, why? Problems with Sions: Cost to build, each Sion takes 100 influence, twice what a Henchman cost. Unless you are Altar, or have heroics, you will never hav
I wonder about the Golems though. The Ironeers are more than they appear, they are not closely related to the other races of men and whether they are men or fallen has been up in the air...it really doesn't make sense for anyone other than Ironeers having Golems in my mind. Slave, yea. Capitar had slaves, I think just about anyone could have them. Jugs, should be Trogs. Henchmen I'm a bit torn, as they seem to arise from a people with many bloo
Here is my save. Notice that many of the nations have gold in the 20,000 range. Gilden has 27,000 gold. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12725289/drath.EleSav
I am going to come down very heavily against this. Blood traits are there to make the basic troops of factions unique and that's it. It's stupid and horrible for custom factions to make blood traits do more then that.Faction traits and blood traits are very different. Roseln needs a real blood trait not a pointless shuffle of traits. The 3 point heal from kills needs to be redesigned to scale, the end. If anything Golems and slav
Yea, beastlord is fantastic.
turn 230, Altar mysteriously now has 20,000 gold, with an income of 17.
And now in turn 230, Resoln is almost broke. I have no idea how they got 16,000 gold so quickly, and now have very little. They seemed to spent it well, they shot right up the power charts, about 400 to the rest of us at about 100-150.
I just checked and none of the other AIs seem to have that kind of cash, turn 193 and she has 10,000 which isn't impossible, but she has an income of -31. I wonder if she isn't just getting gifted from the other AIs, protection money.
I checked the core difficulties, and it looks fine, 1.0 for normal. But Resoln is in the lead and has 16,000 gold and that seems a bit unlikely.
The AI gold is super bugged in this. In a normal game, turn 130, the AIs have tens of thousands of gold.
When you create sovs, if you create one and then create a second, it will have 8 points, but a third will have 6 again... Well, now I get how they have fully developed citys and tons of troops at the same time.
This is purely racial bonuses TROG They have Juggernauts which are excellent troops, among the most powerful in the game. they have 80ish HP, do triple weapon damage, do splash damage to those that surround the one they attack, and do maul, so they continue to attack until they kill what they are fighting or miss. Trogs also have the ability to berserk and they get a +20 weight capacity. MEN<
I made a post, let me find it and copy it here.
That could happen as well of course. The thing is that people seem to be complaining that the A.I.'s are dogpiling against them, not against other A.I.'s. In other words they experience unfair treatment at the hands of the A.I.'s.
I'm actually more concerned that at the point I turn the corner in the game and become the leader, the battle is over. They AI plays like 1930s Europe and appeases me. Wait, did I
Well, you can can mod it out, problem solved! Yay for modding!
Oh, I had that big Garbage pile swamp creature, something of summer I think, wander out of his wildlands. Helped me out, he stood near a chokepoint and fucked up yithril Jug stacks, and when he was really hurt, I went in killed him and got the glory without ever entering the wildlands.
Yes, I know, it's prisoners dilemma. But what really seems to happen in game is Resoln will attack Paridan, Magnar will give Resoln gold to make them happy, Resoln will take all of Pariden's cities, and now we have a Resoln with 12 cities that will now declare war on Magnar and take him out.

Yea, I don't really get the changing shards to death, that doesn't seem to be that great on a choice. In fact, it might be the worst choice to change shards. Guess maybe the demons are better?
