Why play an over-hyped rehashed game that offers nothing new to the genre, coupled with draconian policies, and ran by a company that would sell your soul if it'd get them an extra buck a month; when you could be making a game that's genuinely new, and is already more fun in its beta form? I know this is my opinion, but really if you played star craft brood wars, you're not missing much in SC2. More of the same.

It's pretty common to have launch day issues with any online service. I haven't gotten the chance to try for myself, but, it's not like it's not going to be fixed ASAP if it's a big problem.
I will not b

If I recall correctly, the writers at Random House publishing were the ones handling things like quotes and back story for the game. To work on an official level she may have to contact them. However, I obviously can't speak for them.
I pre-ordered it, but sadly I have come to a decision not to support Activision-Blizzard anymore. The first nail in the coffin was when they decided to split the game into 3 full priced games instead of 1 game and 3-4 expansions. Second nail was not having actual LAN support that doesn't require a battlenet connection. Third nail was region play. Fourth was taking over the eSport of SC so they could suck profits from every aspect of it. Final nail was REAL ID. Call me o
I think they haven't been in the Beta 3 because they were still working on artwork for them in the 3D engine, maybe we'll see them in beta 4?
These corps always pull that shit. They have no interest in making it right until it blows up and becomes bad press.
Can't please everyone. I guess it's not likely they don't see certain things like this until it explodes and affects a lot of people. VAC is an automated system, and if/when it ever has a false trigger it will affect many people, and this isn't the first time this has happened.<
Mannnn I can't wait! The out of memory crash, and lack of interesting tactical combat are, as you say, killing my brain in 3C. However, I keep playing because of all the pieces that are already decent there, imagining what you guys are coming up with. Also can't wait to mess around with modding tools to see what kind of stuff I can do in a day and/or week of just experimenting.
For everyone who is calling Steam/Valve the anti-christ over this; it looks like Valve has identified VAC as triggering a false positive. Know what those evil bastards at Valve did? They un-banned everyone, and gave them 2 free copies of L4D2 for their problems: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1380803
Congrats!
Reading up on this, it sounds like the most plausible explanation, assuming not everyone banned is cheating, is that MW2 allows for hackers to set their own lobbies up that uses IW's old system to inject modified files into other players' game folders. So people could have unwittingly downloaded hacks, due to some idiot running a server and their own ignorance of what was going on. Certainly if that's the case, then Valve should ban the guys with the hacked lobb

I have confidence in Brad and his crew. The game has a lot more going for it already than Sins or GalCiv had at launch, assuming they will tie everything together nicely and balance it over the coming weeks of working over time. You'd be amazed at what a developer like Stardock can accomplish during the crunch period. I've been in so many betas, and Stardock has by far pushed out the quickest changes and bug fixes I've seen even at this stage. I get worried when a
