I use a bit of both, but I actually prefer the 3D view most of the time because it feels more adventurous to me that way. Sure I could zoom out and instantly see everything around me, but it's also fun to wander around looking for things that may not be entirely obvious, which through a few plays makes it almost as easy to spot things as the cloth map (once you learn what goodies look like). I'm sure, just as in GalCiv, once i get a kingdom big enough I'll go more to the cloth map to get the

And even C&C4 can be played online with a pirated version :/ so i dont think getting a upda
I think that the music, espectially the title song, sound pretty epic and get me psyched up and immersed in the fantasy. I guess I'm a sucker for this type of orchestral kind of music though. Send my props to the musician for me Brad.

I'm a bit put-off from testing 3c since I'm not sure how much of the feedback I'd provide would be useful at this point and how much of it would simply be: "You're worried about that? We completely revamped that two days ago!" I'm expecting a week from today. Yea, Beta 3C is a distant memory at this point for us. We've gotten a

It looks impressive guys. I really like what you guys are doing with Impulse reactor. I'm glad there's finally some REAL competition for Steamworks, assuming you guys plan to release Impulse Reactor as an API/tool for future games on Impulse.
[quote quoting="post"] 2nd question is the AMD 6 cores/6 full threads or the Intel 4 cores and 8 threads. Has any internal testing been done to see who wins out in that scenario? I'm not sure if Elemental is multi-threaded or not, but just to show you an example here are L4D2 benchmarks ran using the 6 core Phenom vs similar Intel chips incl

Alpha is basically testing systems as they're being made, sometimes with little to no graphics or UI except what you need to test that system. Basically think about what they were testing internally before we even had the Beta1 cloth map, which is the cl
I don't think this game will be the best selling in all time, because let's be honest brainless cookie cutter games like GTA and Call of Duty sell to the masses. However, I think what we have here is a significant evolution, if not revolution, in RTS sandbox games. The Civ games, while good, have remained kind of stagnant. Civ 4 was great, but didn't offer much to the table except for its modability. Civ 5 will be adding some significant changes to the Civ game style, but nothing significant

I think it should remain optional in the game settings. As for the default? Right now, the first one. However, I think the scale to zoom thing you checked should remain an option if it's worked on. Other people have already proposed fixes for it, like a min/max size thresh-hold so that it will look a bit better.
