This would encourage mages to persue arming themselves with staves insted of other melee or ranged weapons.
And certainly help speed up initiative times, too, versus needing to hold a dagger to do that. It certainly seems unfair to defeat a city/resource, but not being able to claim it. It also seems a bit unfair to have to spend all remaining movement points when you attack, especially if you could subdivide the group prior to battle and have the smaller group keep movement going. I don't mind there being a penalty to attack, but deleting remaining movement seems like too much of a penalty.
What if spears allowed the owner to counter attack first? That would be a rather significant advantage!
I just ran into another AI cheating bug. In tactical battle, I've seen it cast burning hands spell on my archers that were on the other side of the battlefield. Flaming tongue too (not sure about it's range though). Also, A dragon used his breath that way too, killed my archers waaaay back (at least 7-8 tiles distance). Didn't hurt any troops in between. Since it's tactical I can't really provide sav
And now that you can focus on how to spend your unused production (money, research, etc.), this really should always be chosen.
Bam! Instant AI awesomeness. Good find and fix.
Lord Reliant, my video card does have 512MB of memory. I downloaded the latest driver and that helped. However, the game is still awfully sluggish, and edge scroll is unusable, even though I set the delay to zero. It takes about a second to scroll when I move to the edge and it overshoots. If I have to buy a new video card, I would be willing to do that, provided it's not too expensive. I don't play that many games, and I'm unwi

Jon Shafer (Civilization V) has been helping as well.
This. Is. Awesome! One of the remaining w

They did do a lot of engine optimizations, though, so I imagine that might be the cause. Interestingly, the FE Minimum specs don't say much about the minimum card needed:
Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista / 7 / 8, 2.2 GHZ Dual Core or better processor, 2 GB o
Agreed! Either you move to the square and gain the loot, or just gain the loot. My preference would be to move to the square you just conquered. With the current system, you could conquer something awesome and have it stolen from you by a rival AI. Doesn't seem right. At least moving to the defeated square is a reasonable compromise. Heck, you could even add in a Commander trait that allows his army to either not end their turn after battle.

I hope you like this one! It too me a while, but I'm pretty happy with the play on words. :)
Did it fix itself the next turn? I've seen it where the initial drawing of a map has borders wrong, or maybe after a reload, but not usually where it stays strange for very long.
This is totally a meme now: Make your own: http://memegenerator.net/Ongr-The-Unbound Enjoy!
The real question is, who would win in a battle? Ongar or Churck Norris?
I can see from your perspective when people criticize the game or AI you'd take it personally. Heck, I've been offended by quite a few of the comments in the SD forum about FE/LH! I've seen several of your responses that have been quite civil and helpful when I would have either blown them off or said something rash. However, there are those times when "angry Brad" appears and things tend to go badly... Just some encouragement to keep up the good work. Dealing with human A
More annoyingly... my second city's borders grew and grew, until eventually it hit upon a monster encampment about 4 squares from the starting spot (didn't even know it was there when I founded the city).
This is an old UI-related issue I've had with WoM and FE. You can't tell when your borders will expand. At least if there was a visual indicator somewhere that told you when they might go up, you could see it would be hitting into a deadly swarm soon.
I think Brad said they're still working out the Commander stuff. Agreed- it still needs a bit more of a feel for protecting the home front than fighting-only.
Could this post be updated and moved into the LH forums, too? It would be helpful for those new to the forum.
Another idea would be for a random stats increase instead of trait, and make it pretty small (like +1). I like the excitement randomness brings to the table, but thankful for a more strategic stats progression.
I think you mean "can we bring the FE font back". Also, what don't you like about it? Hard to read? Doesn't fit the text in places properly? Inconsistent usage? Certain characters are hard to read, etc. Elaborating would help SD know why you think it's so terrible.
