I'm not buying Civ 5 for now. The demo is always crashing, specially in Dx11 mode. I guess even the "big guys" are having problems in their game's launch.

I received the game today, after going through customs. I had to pay 21€ extra. That means the game (limited edition) cost me around 92€ total (that's 120USD, btw). I've just received this newsletter. What does this mean? That after a year I won't be able to download updates/patches/fixes? Or just new content and expansions? What about updates releases within this year, will I be able to re-download them forever, or so I have to renew some kind of subscription to Impulse?

Still waiting here, in Europe. I've received today an email saying that it was shipped September 1st (on August 26th they said it was sent to me too...) and it could take 1-3 weeks to arrive. I guess I'll have to wait until the end of the month... If it all.

Today, nothing. Just sent an email. I hope they can track the order. If not, I shall ask for a refund.

It didn't arrive today :( I didn't receive an automatic email. Only after inquiring I received the email you can read a few posts above. There she said 3-5 business days, but those are long gone. Crossing fingers for tomorrow. I'm very disapointed.

Today is the 5th business day (if it were sent in the same day I got the email I've shown above), or 7th if it was sent in the release day. I'm really hoping to receive it at least tomorrow! Anyone else received the limited edition in Europe?

If you allow me, here's a couple of things that could be re-designed in impulse's store website: - Right now, I have to click "View Cart" to acess the option to login. I had to figure that out alone, not very intuitive. - There should be a order status option, just like in any online store nowaday. The we could check if it was being processed, shipped, delivered, etc. with all correspondent dates.

5 to 6 weeks? International first class? Judging the shipping costs, I'm expecting the same speed as when I ordered my Kindle from Amazon.com. It took 3 business days to arrive in Portugal, Europe.

I've pre-ordered the limited edition on July 10th. I found it a little bit weird and unintuitive to find my order history. I became worried at game launch, as I received no feedback: the site doesn't say anything about my order status, nor I received any email. I've wrote to [email protected] and received an automatic reply, asking my to wait until 2 business days for a reply. Two days passed, no reply. WHAT'

Thank you for the clarification, AkuYama. I still don't know anything about my pre-order. Emailed [email protected] yesterday and only received an automatic reply. They ask two business days to reply, today is the second business day, so I'll wait a little bit more, before becoming REALLY worried. :(

UPDATE More weirdness! Started a new campaign, advanced about 10 turnos, saved. When loading the saved game, it loads the same weird saved game I've told about above! It's as if Elemental didn't save my game, just created a previous saved game from someone else! And more weirdness: The autosave and the previous autosave loads diferent games! I've started the campaign, and the first thing I did was to save the game. I named the save as "1". I'm alone, near the sunken boat. I go to the main menu, then load that save file... And it seems it loaded a completely different game! I'm in another place in the map, with a town, another unit and such. What happened here?! And btw, I couldn't start a new campaign. The patch was pirated too. I guess even the updates aren't the supposed "DRM"... Meanwhile, I have no info about my limited edition pre-order. Is it being processed? Already dispached? Track order number? There's absolutely no feedback. Neither in my impulse account or by email... :(

Impulse doesn't install the desktop shorcut properly. It creates a file with no extension and 0 bytes of size. Today installed the update, it asked if I wanted to install a desktop shortcut, so I said yes. It did the same.

Including international shippings? I don't know how it works. Will impulse send a track order number?

The map editor is so horrible, that I think I won't be modding for this game. It's completely counter-intuitive and unresponsive. But I'll check out the release version, just in case.

It looks similar to HoMM5, but I'll be looking forward for it. Although I still think that HoM&M works better in 2D. But I guess that being in 2010, I will never have that wish come true. Whatever the game, everything must be in 3D.
