Vanquish looks like Lost Planet on steroids. I've liked the first. Hated the second. So this game is "meh" for me.

I remember Ultima VII's manual. Great times.
Quoting Luckmann, reply 24 Can we order this through Impulse? I guess I could fire up Impulse and check. But I'm lazy. The book? No, you would need to order it from Amazon, etc.
Why not sell the ebook version through Impulse? Just a thought.
Ouch, Europe :( But i've pre-ordered the CE weeks ago. :) I just wonder if they are sent before release date, so that I won't have to wait too long after the release. If I could get it before September, that would be nice. :)
He probably thought he was in the Starcraft 2 forums. :D
The Map Editor seems to me that it's not working properly. I choose tiles, objects, anything... Click on the map... Nothing happens. I've tried left clicking, right clicking, etc... Then, suddenly, I could place some roads, build a mountain (although I could choose it's height). Then the same happened, couldn't place anything on the map. The cursors changes shape, indicating what will be placed on the map, but nothing happen
I was hoping it would be in colour, but it looks very good anyway. :)
More crashes today, some of them with a "out of memory" error. The game spawned me in a little island, with no way to get to other islands, besides getting a boat. Let's say that I only managed to get it on turn 180 or something (even after getting the harbour, I didn't have the option to build a ship, until one time the option appeared. I have no idea what are the requirements). That gave me time to build and research a lot
Maybe it was just coincidence, but both betas 3A and 3B never crashed on my computer. This beta 3C has already crashed several times. The first crashes were just after loading a game (without exiting to windows desktop first). But the last couple of times it just crashed to desktop randomly and without any error message. Here's the dumped files, in Dropbox: <a href="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1894987/Elemental/Elemental0_90-201
People all over the world try to use english so that they can communicate with other people here, about Elemental and other themes. And those who natively speak english can't even try to understand them without making fun. And much less try to communicate in other languages (although in this case that's right, because this is an english forum). So... Only people with good english skills should be allowed to participate in this forum? Back on topic. I can
Should we be able to know the enemies' income and other info without spies or any other means to that info? Will the enemies always be an open book for us?
BTW, will we always be able to know the enemies income and other stats without spending resources (spies, spells, whatever)?
BTW, are these kind of rules moddable?
So, this means I can build a mine without it having to be adjacent to another city building, as long as it's in my territory? No more placing buildings just to reach a mine, shard or whatever? Great. :)
An update would be welcome. I've already pre-ordered mine, but I'm sure most people aren't crazy enough like me to pay the shipping costs AND customs taxes. ;)
Amazon.com doesn't sell the game outside USA.

I don't agree with suggestions 2, 3 and 4. Combat should be tactical, not random.
I think I saw the limited edition in amazon. co.uk com a week ago... Didn't check out now, but it shuold be there. Unfortunately, us europeans, have to import the game, with all the added costs. Edit: I meant Amazon.com, not co.uk
I would like to hear other ideas on essence btw. By keeping an UP-TO-DATE thread with such knowledge you can make this forum a better place. Would you do that? PLEASE? I can either do that or finish the game.
Can't some quests reward essence? A virtuous deed... Or maybe the number of people under out i

The exmple impresses me. Being able to use secondary maps will add a lot to the RPG element of the game. Also, it's an incentive to exploration. If all ruins, dungeons, etc were just a tile in the map that poped up a dialogue or combat, it would become boring faster than the possibility that reaching it could "teleport" us to another map to explore and make combat (as if that map was a zoomed in version of the event tile in the main map).
Did you wait for your building to finish before trying to build on a tile adjacent to it? You cannot build next to an improvement that is under construction, the improvement needs to be finished first.
I guess that was my mistake, thanks. (duh, I know)
A few weeks to explore the game's assets seems reasonable. And just when those are becoming repetitive/unoriginal, there's the extra packs. Plus, the first month or two might be for further polishing/patches for the game. :)
There should be chain mail bikinis! Now, seriously, the whole marriage aspect has to be heavily tweaked..
