what I do : stay one tile away from monster lairs, pay attention not to extend your ZOC over a monster lair and they will not come after you
This! Sometimes I blanket the area around some of the really tough monster armies, just so the AI doesn't come along and drop an outpost on them. Meaning sometimes I am burning pioneers making outposts just for blocking land around these guys and getting no resources in return. Also

Ran into same issue, new game, different computer. Have a list of items, abilities this time as well: Items: Balanced Axe, Leather Cuirass, Leather Helm, Ghost Shield, Riding a Ravenous Harridan Abilities: Wraith Blood, Air Apprentice, Earth Apprentice, Water Disciple, Evoker, Path of the Mage After restarting, I did finally kill Nosmina this time. After killing once, I used pillar of flame to do some damage, then attacked again an

I've seen similar happen with the rivers on the world map. It was weird building docks a full square away from the river, but that was the only spot it would let me place. Got out of build mode and hovered over the square and sure enough, was showing as river, and the actual river tile was showing as plains or swamp.

You should also realize this beta process is not similar to most other game companies. Most of them put out betas near final release just to get a huge sample size for finding bugs, and those games are usually very close if not completely feature complete. What Stardock is doing is allowing us to input as the game is developed with many things not even CLOSE to being ready for final release which is still ~ 6 months out or more.
Never heard of that one. Have you tried it?
It's a splinter of the original OpenOffice code, think they split at around 3.1 or so, IIRC. I've used both and find LibreOffice to be a bit more feature filled, well, at least for the stuff I use it for, so of course your mileage may vary. They are still very similar though at this time.

Guess I should add that the army is _not_ remaining with Nosmina, it is just the champion. Also, immediately after the fight, Nosmina has 1 HP, but does within a few turns heal back up to full 36 HP he started with.

Was playing along in .914 and came across an Empire champion (un-recruited), named Nosmina. Killed Nosmina, and found him (or her, not really sure) to still be on the map. I didn't have any movement points left, so next turn I killed him two more times, thinking maybe he had some ability that unless killed twice in same turn the unit survived. Was getting exp every kill, after about 2 or 3 more tries, I gave up not wanting to suck easy exp with such an exploit. Anyone else seen anything s
Quoting Mhantra, reply 2 Haha, I have played this game and WoM for a while, but lately, my old tactics aren't working and I am getting crushed, perhaps with just plain bad luck? Most of the time, I get rolling, and then some huge deadly monster crushed a city or two, and leaves me bait for any Ai that wants to mop up. Love the challeneg, except I don't see how I can beat a red dragon rampaging through my

Well, so far I like the game. The tutorial isn't all that great, not sure how someone who had never played a 4x game before would get by. That being said, on my work computer (win7 x64, 6gb ram, nvidia card) it runs pretty good, except windowed mode at full res is messed up (doesn't actually let you get near the edges for scrolling on all 4 sides.) Works good in full screen, or in windowed mode less than full monitor resolution though. On my home computer (win 7 x64, 1

Or give the new Stardock Central a whirl: https://forums.stardock.com/419935 Impulse is no longer owned by Stardock so you will not find beta products from Stardock on there. That being said, WoM should be on Impulse still as long as you originally purchased it via Impulse, if Impulse were up and working properly, been having trouble logging into it all day, seems there servers are wounded right now.

I can live with it being added to the build queue, it is being protected by city walls at that point. At least you can wait to build that if you desire. The real problem is the rebuild - when your city builds up to an already producing resource, and then that resource gets added to the city build and built all over again.
