You are missing the campaign from FE. It is not included in FE:LH. They also play slightly different, they really are two very similar, but different games. I should add, I very much loved FE, but think FE:LH is definitely the better game.

Sad news indeed. I basically have scared my parents into not installing anything on their computers without me present due to crap like this. They just don't seem to understand how to evade the easy to bypass extra software. With things like this, they stand no chance.
what is E:WoM?
Elemental: War of Magic was the first game set in this universe. It was a poorly received game at launch, thus shortly afterward Brad Wardell (Stardock CEO) promised those who had pre-ordered two free games. And those who bought shortly after release (and thus had a chance to read reviews before purchasing) one free game.
Gekko does have a point. Buyers of FE paid $60 for two games, while buyers of Elemental paid $40 for three games.
Incorrect. I paid $70.00 for my E:WoM pre-order. It was $50 for the base and $70 for the Collector's Edition, plus $10 for shipping of retail box, so $80 total. I don't believe pre-order was ever available for $40. I do believe the rest of your comment (un-quoted) is spot on.
I'd rather see something like a caravan/messenger unit. This unit can hold items, just not equip them. Give it a high movement rate, and it can go between heroes, and you still aren't burning a hero unit doing the transport. This would also put a little danger in the trip, making sure you watch where that unit steps, so as to not lose all those items.
The sad thing is that i seem to have missed the chance to get the game for free as it seems some people managed to get it for free as i pre ordered the game and at this point they are only giving a discount so i will wait for a larger discount at some point i guess
The people who got LH for free pre-ordered E:WoM. If you fall into that category, send Stardock support an email, I'm sure they'll get it straightened ou
Maybe it's like what I reported here in 0.87 https://forums.elementalgame.com/444087/page/1/ I saw it again this weekend in 1.2. For me it's only happened when auto-resolving a battle. It wasn't clear to me from the OP if auto-resolve was used or not.
That is exactly what happened! Except I didn't auto-resolve as it was a pretty close match.
Wonder if this fix in today's steam update will help: <span style="color: #999999; font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: -webkit-auto; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: #242322; displ
I'd have thought that if it hadn't all occurred during my turn. Even got the pop up message. I was able to rush a pioneer and rebuild on same turn so didn't lose any of my resources, and there eWaswas nothing there to fight when rebuilding the outpost. Weird!
Exactly, you are looking for the techs that say +1 Army Size. For instance, look at "Drills" research in the warfare tree, when you hover over the little up pointing arrow icon you'll see it says +1 Army Size, then just look for others in the tree with that same icon.
You can do a couple things. Go into unit designer and make some better units. Keep researching the warfare path and get better weapons and upgrade the units you already have. Research to gain bigger armies (these are spread out in both warfare and the civilization trees), or research something like logistics (in civ tree) to gain bigger squads (i.e. going from 3 units per trained unit to 4 units per)
Don't certain other programs 'use' IE for certain purposes, even if you don't choose to use it as your default browser?
That is a good point, I know my UPS Worldship software always uses IE when it is going to use the web. Doesn't matter what the default browser is set as.
I believe tactical maps implies they are maps used during tactical battles. Rather than selectable strategic maps.
Beat a group of ogres during tactical combat. When zooming back out to the strategic view, the dying animation of one of the units took out my outpost that was 2 square away from the square the ogre's army had started on. First time I have seen this in any iteration of the game, beta or not going back to E:WoM
Cavil, sounds like you have Steam Cloud turned on. If you want to delete stuff permanently, turn Steam Cloud off, then delete the things you want gone. After that, should be ok to re-enable Steam Cloud.
That all makes perfect sense. Thanks to both of you!
Just wondering if everyone is still un-installing mods before allowing Steam to update. I know it was recommended way back when to uninstall mods before when we used to manually update FE. Being an automatic process now, I know most probably aren't and am just wondering if anyone has run into any troubles because of this. Not talking to much about mods not supporting the new update, more along the lines of whether the mods still being installed have messed with the game in general
Oh, and if you don't like the wildling shamans, be warned, you will hate the Dark Wizard.
Shamans with Coal Stones is one of the reasons I love this game. Always, always check out your opponent before attacking, and even then, be prepared for a surprise that you'll remember for the next game(s).
Somewhere down the line maybe. I'd also prefer some UI work and some general polish first.
Think I've heard Brad pronounce it with the syllable you have as "game" closer to "gem", but otherwise very close!
Pretty sure it has always been this way. At least in FE and FE:LH, don't really remember one way or the other on E:WoM.
I was among the frist batch of pre orders of war of magic (long long time ago) do we get the DCL also? I was under the impression that at some point those maps were avaliable to me (before steam and LH) but now I don't see it on "my games" on stardock central.
The FE DLC was never free to anyone. However if you purchased the map pack DLC for FE, the LH version should be free to you.
