Right...... Whats funny about WoW girls?
I think the funny part is 99% of WoW players are male and the 1% female players probably carry below average beauty. I'm sure there's a few hot girl playing WoW, but finding one is as likely as finding a gold coin while walking at a nearby park.
NTJedi Writes: It's not a big assumption since the majority of TBS games have many instant spells with no counter option. By that logic, we should assume that everything about Elemental will be just like most other TBS games and that it will not depart from the norm.
Obviously not everything, but obviously since most games don't offer 70+ players like Dominions_3 it's not a bi

Wow, of all the postings only one individual posted a cheer for being in the Alpha. I wonder what would happen if after 10 days only 85 of the 100 selected show up to participate. Would Stardock keep it at 85 participating in the Alpha or allow a few others? I guess I'm just trying to be optimistic. [e digicons]:sun:[/e]
I must be wierd. I don't play that many RTS/DOTA/RPGS. Somehow I made the cross over from FPS/ARCADE to RTS. Go figure.
That's a typical progression... Anyone who starts at FPS/ARCADE eventually moves toward RPG or RTS and usually the final stage is TBS and RPG.

Sounds like the crickets made their way into my attic. The attic is mostly installation so walking around isn't easy unlike what they show in the movies or television. The wife doesn't want to use the fog bomb in the attic because she would want it cleaned up afterwards. I don't want to place any bait traps as it might draw new ones. I'm thinking something which makes noise unheard by humans, but not sure which ones are recommended. <p

I completely agree... those treasure maps are never of any real locations.

Well my last question wasn't answered, so I'll try a different question. What ideas have been used in Elemental as a result of topics and posts within the Elemental Ideas forum?
Excellent. Why not expand this into other areas, such as research, battles, and production?
Definitely... I provided a few examples, but the list can be enormous. After a game has ended the player could also review his list of accomplished quests.

The Quest Log Book One feature I found fun within AgeofWonders:ShadowMagic was where the player could review his relations with each race. The fun feature was after completing a few special quests it would update the relation view describing what improved the relations. Now with Elemental I would like to see this expanded into providing a Quest Log Book. It would not only provide a list of the current quests, but also
This a big assumption there, Jedi. Personally I would love for 'instant' spells such as fireball and lightning bolt to be counter-able. They are so in pretty much every book that has magic - it's a bit harder to do in a game than in a book, of course, but still doable. HoMM V had a rudimentary counterspell system capable of doing just that - you cast Counterspell and the next spell your opponent casts will fizzle. I'd lov
My opinion that NWN had a weak single player game compared to BG is supported by the fact that nobody ever talks about it in regards to it's single player RPG. Find any professional list of all time greatest RPGs, and BG2 is right up there somewhere. It is highly rearded by many many fans, and makes their amateur lists as well. Suggesting otherwise would be a little foolish.
The singleplayer is
As I ninja edited above, its not like I said NWN turns people purple. I said its single player RPG was weak. There is no way that can be interpreted as anything other than subjective. Everyone else on the net seems to know that things we write on message boards are subjective. There is nobody that would read "the single player rpg of NWN is weak", and take it as fact if they felt differently. Nobody.

I don't need evidence for my *opinion*.
Then I could say the same for my *opinion*... sorry but your *opinion* is not the almighty word of truth.
NWN single player was a relatively lukewarm RPG, both in story and gameplay.
Well this is a much better statement as compared to very weak. And much depends on which singleplayer campaign you're referencing... Bioware provided 4 different campaigns... and then t
Eriksons magic is that in some battles, even with mages on both sides, there's practically no magic, and all the fighting is done by soldiers. The reason for this, is that be mages are cancelling each other out, neither side able to do anything because the others will cancel you. It makes for balancing of armies, or even for armies dependant of pure mages , although I doubt occupation should be able to be done without soldiers.
Mages canceling spells from other mages wo
NWN was certainly driven by its multiplayer, as the single player game was very weak. BG technically had MP capability, but it was not known for that, and the mods created for that game were driven by the SP game. And your "people don't make mods for Single Player Games" assertion is not supported by the evidence. One only has to take into account the daunting list of mods made for Oblivion
It will all come down to the quality of animations, how detailed and fluid they are and if the unit is upgraded(class or spell wise) will it have new upgraded animation and other effects concurrent with every upgrade, like lighting and such(Diablo 3 is a good example here). Animation is different from graphics, for example Resident Evil 4 has poor graphics for today's standards but it has such excellent animations that surpass even today's

I know many of us are eagerly awaiting to hear more news about Elemental so I thought I'd organize a list of spells which will probably be in the game based on screenshots. Feel free to allow your imagination to provide spell descriptions. Hope this provides fans with a temporary drug fix until the alpha/beta testing begins: 1) Rain of Fire 2) Shield of Life 3) Lingering Death ========Below are&nbsp
