In my mind, combined arms is crucial to the game's success. In Elemental, how you set up your armies should matter. So somehow, between now and later, we have to make sure there are very definitive mechanics for archers, swordsmen, calvalry, siege units, magic users, support units, etc. Otherwise, tactical combat becomes just a matter of throwing identical units at each other. Bring it on! :D [...hopefully all of the crash related issues have been fixed for 1Z, because I am still having random crashes in the latest build.] .. just wondering..how will this voting work? We must vote here, on the forum..or? [e digicons]:frogboy:[/e]
The idea is very good. Just a side note: Mercenaries. Hopefully we gonna have merc armies in the game.

My only fear is the following: Magic will be extremely powerful in the late game [vanilla - can be fixed via modding of course..], and it will render the military / combat related stuff obsolete. Balancing won't be easy, but it's possible. Hopefully Stardock will be able to balance everything "perfectly". [This is why I've made a topic about protection/counter magic a while ago...-> https://forums.elementalgame.com/376559 ]
Igor, you can't be serious, or are you trolling? [e digicons] https://forums.elementalgame.com/363845 Also, stop comparing this game to King's Bounty. Elemental will be a much more complex & diverse game.

Anybody who likes the more detailed type of city-simulator where you actually have an inventory (more like Anno 1404/Dawn of Discovery, less like SimCity) should at least try the game out. I've been playing it for the past few days, since I'm on spring break, and it's awesome. Just don't trade wood to the elves.

Forts are military in purposes, Outposts are there for supply and ressource in purpose.
Indeed, forts should be

Kohato brings word of a new Electronic Arts marketing strategy that aims to start monetizing game demos .
