Yeah the d/l isn't corrupted according to the verification...my OS must be in a very bad condition I guess. It's time for a reinstall. :)

Hey guys, old user here! :) So I decided to give a shot to Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes, but when I try to launch the game, I am getting the following Steam error: Failed to start game (unknown error). The link, which directed me to the suport site [ Failed to Start the Game (Missing Executable)] , advised me to "Delete the 'appcache' folder." Done
Quoting nikmesh, reply 198 So is casting time for spells confirmed in 1.1? If yes, then any idea what is going to pass for the MOM equivalent of 'casting skill?' Casting Time isn't in 1.1, but it is speced to be included. The problem is that Casting Time is big change with art, UI and AI implications and it interacts with future systems (meaning that if we implemented now we would need to re

Nice & well detailed journal entry. Thanks, Cari! :)
We will be starting a community design contest soon. I appreciate all the great ideas everyone provides, and we are going to have some fun with it (we were just going to use my ideas but then we realized we wanted the game to be good). Watch the boards, the full details will be announced next week.
Sounds interesting, but tons of awesome ideas can be found in the /Ideas subforum. ;)</
Thanks to everyone for the good wishes. I just spent my first day onsite with the folks at Stardock and I had a great day. It’s a team of brilliant people and I’m honored to join them. Any job that uses Monty Python trivia to test new hires is okay by me. I’m currently in the process of interviewing the elemental team members for feedback. After I get that I will incorporate it
Yea me too. Once the v1.1 series gets rolling, we hope to return to that. The main thing is that v1.1 is such a major overhaul of the game mechanics that there's no "baby steps" possible between v1.09 and v1.1.
Nice! [e digicons][/e] [PS. I can't wait for v1.1 [e digicons]:pout:[/e] ]
I don't really understand this thread. This post is cryptic. Are you trying to streamline, or make it more complicated? Are we really talking about bringing back all the advanced economic stuff that was rejected originally? That seems to be where everybody went immediately (we do have a group who likes those sorts of games, for sure). Given the limited resources available, I'm not sure this is the place to direct a lot of attention. MoM doesn't have a super complicated econo

Done back in the 60's it gives a possible count of intelligent life in the galaxy, not the universe but the galaxy. comes to about 10,000 give or take and that's a conservative number. I've seen the Video that explains Drake's Equation actually. It's part of the basis for my opinion that, statistically speaking, there's gotta

Either it was absorbed by a neighbor or it disassociated due to old age after most of the stars there burned out.
Yeah..I guess. Either way, just think about it:..it would take 13 billion years to reach this galaxy [or where it was] from our galaxy if we would travel at lightspeed. Insane numbers...[e digicons]:(O[/e]
Getting rid of INT influence on spell damage seems like a very bad idea to me. Consider that weapon damage still scales with STR, so as your Sovereign levels up and raises his STR, the weapon will do more and more damage. This is not the case with a spell. Once you can cast that spell, your sovereign's level won't affect its damage at all. That not only leads to the majority of spells being left completely unused by the end-game because it never
My answer to those who think Stardock should "give up on Elemental" because it'll "never recover" is this: Nuts. I'd have us work on Elemental even if it never sold another copy because people have faith in us to do what's right. Period. People paid 50 bucks for this game. The reason we're giving the expansion pack away to those who purchased it already is because we know the price will inevitably get dropped and those people who bought
