My favorite RPG was the D&D classic - Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil - though it had a buggy start (somehow my system never encountered those bugs) and a poor story line - the tactical battles were said by many to be the best.
Yeah ToEE is my favourite cRPG as well...and I agree...it has the best tactical battle system as well. [e digicons][/e]

I'm trying to come up with ideas that are: -based in part on lore as much as possible -balanced -create relatively hard choices I'm not wedded to any of my suggestions. Better alternatives are welcome!
1. Many stuff has been changed in the last 2 years. What is the problem with "spamming" cities? I will tell y

With Elemental, the sky is the limit to our wildest dreams. Gonna have to disagree with you here. Civilization have always been a base for a great deal of mods, some of which has nothing to do with human history. Many of them are GREAT (I can't emphasize this enough). One of the

During the beta, we used to allow players to build an unlimited number of buildings or 1 per level and this created a runaway economy. The imperfect solution chosen in the end was to limit many buildings to only 1 per city. &

I didnt really give it a fair chance so i might go back to it because, according to what i had heard, it had/has a lot of promise. Is there somewhere where i can get all resources from one place such as tutorial, game itself, graphics updates, patches, documentation, partidge in a pear tree, etc? My subjective opinion about the eco system: I don't like it. 1. I liked the original concept of city building [..when farms produced food, and there was no limit / number of farms, workshops etc. / city...etc.] If I wanted to create a "farming capital" or a "military capital" I was able to do it. Now everything is limited. I cannot create specialized cities. I don't like being limited in anything. 2.a I don't like the global resource system

Heh, this [item creaton & item enhancts] has been suggested many times already. [..in fact we've talked about this before the beta has been started] :) Hopefully the devs will add it in the first or second expansion.
It's better than the TW games imo...but really...it was underrated? I've only seen a couple of reviews, but those reviews were absolutely positive. Yeah, I pretty much meant that in the aspect that it's not getting a lot of recognition when it should. I should have clarified. If this game would have been released by EA, Bioware, or (insert big name publisher here), it would be a rock star.&nbsp

IMHO, of course... But it is a pretty stellar game that no one has really heard of.
It's better than the TW games imo...but really...it was underrated? This would give everybody the chance to play as they see fit.
Agreed. It's a must have option.
The ability to attach heroes to squads , ala Dawn of War and Company of Heroes, could add quite a bit to the game. Every few levels you could offer a perk system that would boost the unit or it's command abilities.
Yep, it worked like a charm in the King Arthur game as well.
