Yep, a War of the Ring scenario would be nice to have, however...just a question: What are your plans for Mordor or Isengard in a scenario like that?..basically Mordor has 2 cities..as for Isengard, it's an even worse situation. Maybe it can be balanced: a.) Give ""fictional" starting cities for Mordor and Isengard b.) Orcs and Uruks must be "free". Zero recruiting & upkeep cost. The number of orcs/recruited by turn/city must be capped. -> However

I haven't seen any news with regard to the intro of the game, so this is pretty weird...take a look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5RxA-wijB8 It looks like that some chinese guy uploaded it, according to his profile. Either way I really loved this intro movie. *edit* Actually the movie appeared on some website
Den, stop joking around. :D That is absolutely impossible. Imo, we gonna reach beta 3 in 1 month [..if beta2 will last for 2 weeks], because it's possible, that we will need to have a 1z4 as well, who knows.
Well, like Froggie has said, if you are going to mod Elemental, you won't have to touch Python at all. Everything can be done via editing .xml files [example: adding new races, creatures, equipments etc.], which should be easy, even if you don't have any coding experience. If you would li
Hehe, I'd rather late October. Or even early November. Thanksgiving Break anyone? hehehe
Elemental won't be released in 2010 Q4. It's either September or 2011 Q1 or later.

I am still kinda confused. Example: Do I have to know Python if I would like to add a new race[faction]/new creatures, or it can be done via editing .xml files? n <span id="_mce_start" style="line-height: 0pt; display: no
Either way, this is interesting. Usually people buy DLCs/expansion packs for $25...yet in WoW they buy a mount, which will be "obselete" in a couple of months. This is what I found very weird. Also...I don't think that anyone was bashing Blizzard here, but I didn't read all of the replies. Personally I respect them, because like I've said: everything they touch turns into gold.
I count CIV IV as the best strategy game ever made.
I have a totally different opinion about Civ 4. ;) It's an "ok" game in my book, but that is all. It's way too simplistic and primitive in many aspects. Actually the combat system is what I hate the most in Civ4. It's just pathetic.
Rishkith - I am a "local resources fan" as well, but I am not complaining, because the decision has been made. You should just move on as well....we gonna have a local resources eco mod anyways.
BTW, one of the reasons I'm anxious for beta 3 is that that is when I get to start seriously programming the AI. The longer it takes to beta 3, the less time I have for the AI. The game's schedule itself may be fungible but mine isn't unfortunately.
Well, let's see 1z3 first. Hopefully it will be stable enough, so that we can move to phase 2. If we will have a vote about moving to beta2 or not [as it w
Wow, what a weird bug! [e digicons]o_O[/e] Perhaps you should upload the saved game as well.
I see, so this was an intended change. Hopefully it will be changed back eventually [if it won't cause crashes], since it makes no sense that it's not possible to equip armlets and a shield as well.

You should focus on the third age. ;) A mod like that can be balanced if it's done right. :)
