Does anyone have any experiences with it?
They've fixed lot of stuff in the 4 patches AFAIK, I stopped to play when the first patch came out. I am waiting for the expansion, because it will have sandbox mode + diplomacy as well -> <a href="

They offer themselves to the players and you would have a certain number of turns to make a blind bit for their services. Their services could be limited to 50 turns or something. This could vary. If you like the fantasy RTS genre, you should buy it. ..on-topic: There are some excellent mods for AoW2 - SM. I am still playing it, and I am using the 3in1 mod package. Basically it combines the 3 best mods, which have been made for the game.

Completing quests should give xp.
I agree that quests should give experience. It should be quests and combat that give experience, but only those two things (essence should be de-linked from leveling to make this balanced).
Agreed.
Interesting idea, but it's against the lore, isn't it?
Really though, it was only the 3rd spell id ever made - and was first showed the particle editor just 2 days prior. I can attest to how cool of a tool it is. It needs some UI polish and debugging for sure but whats there is really mindblowing. For those who *are* artistically inclined you can draw your own emitters textures and the particle editor will find them, and you can then put it into your effect.
From watching some of the replays on Youtube, it seems that the maps are too small when you have such powerful weapons as rocket launchers. LSN had sizable maps with lots of buildings, some of which offered protection even from explosives, but FS seems to play out in a relatively confined space with fully destructible structures. This seems to make every engagement short and brutal.
Well, as
Well...I don't know. The current system is not that bad, but it should be tweaked. IE. If the only way to gain essence won't be changed [IE. gain essence @ lvl up], the XP system should be tweaked. Give XP for completing quests. Add some special sites or buildings like Arenas. The Sovereigns can participate in arena battles / turn in order to get XP. You got the picture. PS. I don't like the "get X number of XP / turn while the Sov is sitt
