Why do you need the F_Civilization_General ? I mean, creating a kingdom faction works fine, all techs are there, so what exactly does this entry add? I know the vanilla factions have it, so i guess its only fair :P

I had the same in 1.01 (never played 1.00, maybe it was in that too). Basically if it lags or chugs, and i click quickly, it forgets to "remove" the building, allowing me to place another.
Yeah, i suppose i was one of the "lucky" ones who only crashed at the mid/late game before (in 1.00 and 1.01 + hotfix), or if the game really started to chug after one or two hours. Now however, with 1.05 i crash every 5-10 turns or so, no joke. I'm even still at the early game with only 2 villages and a flat empty snow landscape, hardly taxing on the computer. And I'm even playing on just Medium maps, its running worse / crashing more than Large maps did before. EDIT: ac
Seems u just gotta change Empire_Tech_Tree (which doesnt exist) to Trog_Tech_Tree What a booboo they made on that one lol, but why wasnt it just fixed in the hotfix rather than disable the entire editor?
So anyone knows how i can "fix" my imperial factions created by stardock's creator, so they have techs? :P What do i add / edit in their .xml? Thx! edit: seems u just gotta change Empire_Tech_Tree (which doesnt exist) to Trog_Tech_Tree
I also want the grid to be able to be disabled in tactical battles >_
- We have temporarily disabled the empire faction portion of the Faction creation mod tool since it was creating Imperial factions with invalid tech trees. Any word on WHY this happens? Is there an .xml entry in my factions i can manually edit quickly before the next patch fixes it?
Just some different factions i quickly threw together, for those who want even more possible AI opponent factions than the ones you've created yourself :) Share yours too!! (is there a way to add a collapsible code window, rather than posting dl links? adding all the xml code here is more tedious than just downloading a .zip) [e digicons][/e] http://www.filefront.com/17248495/Baleur-Races.rar/ <
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE PATCHES [e digicons]:D[/e] But it is kinda annoying that my settings revert to default after each build.. [e digicons]:hrmph:[/e]
Your hamsters suck [e digicons]>_>[/e] [e digicons]
You can in the faction creator coming in the patch in an hour or so :D (your soldier colors are in the faction settings, but i agree, you should be able to define them on a per-unit-design basis)
Remove the limitation, let them level up even when controlled by the ai. Just have the AI personality be very passive, but let them have the remote possibility of expanding once at least :P
I've been concerned about this for months. In fact, it caused me to sit out the beta and delay my preorder until last week. And after playing for most of yesterday evening and getting deep into one sandbox game, I realized I was right to be concerned. The game lacks an epic feel. Most of the game feels like me and a small adventuring party running around conquering other empires. (How 4-6 guys could take over an entire empire is beyond me, bu
Maybe she had the protect spell on her? The one that gives 100% spell defence (not sure how quickly it decreases when getting attacked by magic repeatedly since ive never used it, but it seems like the only viable explanation)
A baby that has 11k defence and 2k strength... [e digicons]o_O[/e]
+ Casting spells in tactical battles costs 2 action points now. + Using special abilities in tactical battles costs 1 action point now. + Shooting a ranged weapon in tactical battles cost 2 action points now. ^^ Those fixed the spell / archer imbalance. Such a simple change, who knew :D Now you cant just throw 2-3 blizzards at the enemies entire army before he can move. Great fuckin changes! edit: + Faction Editor &ldquo
Let's see: you just have to do what games like Age of Wonders have been doing since the dawn of MP: You can watch the battle or not watch it. Easy. If you don't watch it, you can still fiddle around with all your own units/towns/econimics while the battle takes place. I feel like I'm buying a used car, and the salesman is trying to convince us how we would really not have fun with passenger seats anyway. . . [/quote
quoting post 2 how come i dont have to spend any gold when I build new settlements? Are they free now or is it a bug? I think it is by design. While the settlement is free, you need to produce pioneer (the price could have been higher) and protect it with units. Those units for protection cost money to, more over, they consume money per turn. So, unless there is some resource,
So.. No tactical battles in MP until "at a later date"? Honestly, auto-resolve ruins these kinda games, making them utterly uninteresting to play since you are basically just throwing your entire hard work building your kingdom into the hands of a dice, deciding if you live or die. Wont be bothering with MP then, i hope the AI gets swift updates. [e digicons]>_>[/e] When i used to play AoW:SM with my friend, we always used tactical battles, even when fighting the npcs. All i want, is a box where i can change the color, thats it XD
So how do i do this? Just copy & paste this into my existing normal tile xml? Behind but before...... ?? (the images in the first topic aint showing up anymore :) ) Ancient Battlefield Lost Battleground &nb
Let them be, Stardock's antipiracy method is the best I have seen. Sure, they can pirate it (I have downloaded games like that before, I will admit that) but Stardock games leave you without updates which add so much. I applaud Stardock just for thinking of a way to make people WANT to buy instead of pirating, hence my adoration to them now. I have three games of their games, all official, and it was so well worth it.
The fonts are beautiful for me (1680x1050, nvidia 250GTS), thick and smooth. I did hear alot of complaints in the chatroom though, must be some wierd specific resolution-to-monitor-drivers bug?
