I just wanted to say that after stumbling accross EWOM I am extremely excited about the game, that, at last there is a nice fantasy/rpg/strat/turnbased/4x experience with good multiplayer support coming out. My favorite fantasy 4x game has been AOW:Shadow Magic, which I still consider one of the most technically perfected fantasy 4x's ever made and which this game seems very similar to (which is a great thing). Having read and watched a lot of the v
Baleurion
I LOVE spells that change terrain in these kinda games (Age of Wonders. Shadow Magic fan for life, best 4x fantasy game in the history of the world imo, and still unbeaten, and still visually beautiful). I mean, i really REALLY LOVE terrain change spells ;) *hint at what i want more of in future patches lol* I also love how theres more than just 1 unit per square, it looks cooler than i thought, with small armies rather than just 8 huge soldiers. Cant wait :) Time to play
Hi guys, Let me add some points here: 1. Tom Chick is one of the top gaming journalists in the industry. He's not just some guy. But i must object with your first point about him being more than just some guy, because he's one of the "top gaming journalists".. EVERYONE is just some guy, every single reviewer, game jo

Yeah its awful. Its the same as with AI War, Distant Worlds and frankly Galciv2 as well. Horrible trailers that completely fail to capture the magic of the specific game. You cant just add cinema-music to calm screenshot slideshows lol
Whats next, should we take Jim Sterling reviews seriously too? [e digicons]:|[/e] Personally i dont listen much to reviews, for two reasons. 1. I myself am the only one who knows what kinda games I like, and I loved every other Stardock game that Frogboy was involved in, this basically looks like Galciv in fantasyland, and I have every confidence that it will turn out great after a few patches because of previous Stardock games experience. 2. I was a naive noob a few years a
Its dont in some Civilization 4 mods, and i'd LOVE to see it in Elemental too :)
Playing Vicky 2, Distant Worlds and Anno 1404 Venice :)

An AI that could start legitimately out-maneuvering me would be a wonderful thing to behold. thats impossible that would be a real I not an AI the problem is humans LEARN there is no way a static ai can be
It always amuses me that you people have to delete the particle and turn down the effects just to play, I usually just patch and I have never had any problems with crashing
Amuses? When you can play every single game in the world without crashes (even frequently crash-reported games like mmo betas), but not Sins, i'd say its not quite amusing :P The fact is there is still something wrong with this game, and it will pro
Well, considering that the Sins devs still havent fixed the minidumps (especially when using mods such as Distant Stars, and i will NOT play the game without mods), i'll def give Distant Worlds a try.
This rumour has surfaced several times from different sources, only adding to the intrigue.. Now, i'm absolutely certain aliens exist in the first place, there's no doubt about that. We exist, thereby they must exist. Also, there are almost a dozen theories (physically plausible) on how to travel between stars within a human lifetime. Now, if you have a civilization that evolved at the same time as, lets say, the dinosaurs evolved, but instead of being wiped out by a rogue m
I guess it isnt coming at all.. ?
Awe shit they canceled good shows like SG-1 and now SGA. Sci-fi is crap now for doing this. I mean who watches doctor who ??
I sure dont. I have always thought and always will think that Doctor Who is a pile of crap. I really hate humour in Sci-Fi. I can accept tiny bits of humor like in Stargate etc, but not when the actual genre is Sci-Fi-Humour. And who the hell cares about what other new shows they are bringing, like Sanctuary. Who cares if it will be com
Actual variety in the units... Its so fucking boring to have 1 single ship for normal combat, and 1 single ship for long range combat, and 1 single heavy combat cruiser. Essentially each race has 3 combat ships, the rest are just micromanagement support ships. I would love it if this game went more along with the Supreme Commander style. Which means more unit variety even if they fill the same role.. Have light frigates, medium frigates, heavy frigates, missile frigates, missile
GTA4 or Tony Hawk PGA Tour 2009 ? Ferrari or Banana ? Thats sort of the logic behind your comparison :P
And i have a problem with using Impulse, because its yet another application that im forced to install and run in order to update my games.. What was so wrong with a simple .exe from the game's site as in the old days? Good thing the game is actually worth it though.
And you will like the new ones....
Actually no, i wont/dont :P For the simple reason that they are not new races at all. They are all almost carbon copies of the original races, or just with some pirate ships and some vasari, or some vasari and some advent. I dont want to be mean, but thats why i never cared for the new races in this game, mod-wise. Because they just arent new. Yes the Empire sort of is, but then again im not that much of a star wars fan :P
So danman, for those of us (wierd fucks) that arent that interested in the new races, and where the main reason for loving this mod is all the other things it does like planet bonuses, rogue stars etc etc etc.. Is there anything new to look forward to in 2.0 besides the black holes? Or is it just new races new races new races? Thx :)
I was deeply dissoponted by this mod. fist of all what i got was a mix of advent and Vasari. i dont see how people were considering this a variation of vasari becuase its not. also you Kor-Ah race needs to be severly worked on. I like the rogues although they could use more caps and a way to colinize planets. Anyway what i meant by i was dissapointed was that i thought i was going to get something different than what i got and it wasnt as good as what i wanted. This mod is decent but it c
i need help, this is my first time using mods. i cant your mod to work , so the question is how can i use the mod? (it would be nice to give me step by step instructions). heres what i have done so far:i just downloaded the mod from filefront, and downloaded 7zip (that thing is really fast). i created a seperate folder for it under my c drive. then extracted it using 7zip. then what do i do?the mod looks relly cool. No, since that "crazy a" isnt my windows username, but rather the Local Settings folder being translated :P I'll just hope its fixed in 1.1 as he said :)
