I thought the same thing as you Willie. How they had their big deal about Gamers Rights and bad and good DRM and then they go require steam for LH. To be honest as silly as it sounds I do feel a little betrayed by stardock now. I'm always fine with steam being an option for purchase but I have problems when its required. I'm fine with an unrest mechanic so long as it adjusts for map size. Having the same city/unrest limit as a small map would be a big problem in a large map.

Will there be a increased Sovereign customization? I was always somewhat bummed that my Sovereigns and other heroes all kind of end up looking the same after a bit. I would really like options to change size, shape, race and the option to hide helmets. Anything to make my Sovereign more unique and set him apart from other units around him. I am one of those not happy about the move to having to use steam. I just hate having to wait 1 or 2 mins for steam to star
Cool screenshots for the new terrain. What are the chances of seeing the Frost Giants being able to spread arctic terrain instead of normal fallen one? I was also somewhat curious as to why Shadow Drakes can not be purchased by champions. I was bummed when I couldn't get my shadow sovereign one. I had to settle for the shadow version of the pony instead. q: On the side note I've been playing your mod on Huge maps and have no problem with crashes.

Ok I followed your steps, placed the new hkb in with the other shadow stuff. Created a new xml and copied the above code with proper name changes. The hair appears as an option but when I select it the game crashes. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong as I tried twice and got the same results. Any clue what I might be doing wrong?

I have no clue that what is duable but I figure since you wanted to go with the barbarian thing and to compensate for having leather armor you could increase every group size by 1 person so they would have larger units. Another would of be to give them the ability to recruit wolves and wargs this would give them a great scouting edge with wolves and if they can unlock great wolves a decent u
Ok, downloaded it. I suppose I guess I think of them as the literal shadow of a person in which case they should "appear" like how that person was when they were created. Your shadow still shows your hairs outline. It may not grow or change after that but I still i figure the appearance or outline should be there. Unless the person was bald. :)
Another random question but is it possible to add hair to the shadow race? It would still pretty much be blackish see through but make it so the character doesn't look bald? I'm willing to do this myself I'm just not sure how or if its possible.

I found that a combination of Hold and Slow allowed me to destroy ogres. I will point out that even though it's called hold the description leads you to believe that the enemy will loss its turn rather then just not being able to move. Lost a unit because of this.

The line is at the bot of the ElementalDefs.xml the one to change is this one 7 normally it would be set to 5 for tiny maps but I changed mine to 7 since I play on Huge maps usually. 8 or even 9 might be better but its a personal choice really.
Question, would it be possible to easily graft the town militia upgrading in to defenders into Stormworld or is it to complicated for a novice like to go around copying and pasting such things?
I noticed that the Shadow's Otherworldly Sight trait does not give a description of what it does in the faction window. I know it gives +1 sight but that was because I was poking around in the files and read that. :p
I also noticed that the staff of the souls is not giving any mana on killing someone. At least the couple of times I did it got me no extra mana on kill.

I have a quick question. If I make a custom faction will the abilities work correctly for it? I only ask this because I created a custom faction and I gave them the Master Scouts trait but could not figure out if it was doing anything since it did not appear to give me +1 movement like it said.
