To add to my own idea. It could be cool to deciede that my army will stick to chain mail and techs that improves chain mail, instead of reequipping new stuff like plate mail and later mithrill. This should have an advantage and a cost to it (or the choice would be obvious). Advantage: All units are always equipped with good, but not great armor. Saves cost on reequipping. Disadvantage: Down the line your opponents will have armies, or part of armies with better

I just thought of an idea (that you ppl will kill, but thats the idea). How about having some techs that influences your army directly/immediately, and some techs that will only help future builds. Examples: Somewhere up in the tech tree you will have: 1. Improved defensive Plate Armor fighting. Gives -1 movement to unit with Plate Armor instead of -2. This will help all your units with Plate Armor 2. Mithrill Armor. New defensive equipment that

I guess that this means that we might not have a patch next thursday either. No worries, as long as we believe that you are working full speed :)

This track idea is very compelling, but my guess is that if you present this to the programmers of Elemental they will have your hide. Can you imagine all the computing power and programming needed to compute and save data on all movements on all tiles during a full game? And then based on this draw tracks and give upgrade to speed. If a large army makes tracks on one pass, then most of the map would be tracked pretty fast. Your other ideas are interesting :)

No no no - you are on the wrong path people :) Dont join the dark side... These odds cannot be calculated. They can in CIV IV cause its all based on known values, but not in Elemental. If we are going to control our army in any way during the battle (think Heroes of Might and Magic or even as a little RTS game) then its not possible to calculate. A good player will always have better odds than som calculation based on AI settings. A scout skill that reveal the n

I guess this is to be expected at this stage. They are working hard on eliminating crashes, the economic system, the 3D engine+++ We just have to be patient, discuss concepts with the frog and report errors repeatedly. This wasnt supposed to be fun yet :)

On impulse the game is about 300 NOK (norwegian kroner), in the shops here its 400 NOK. Since impulse Dragon Age is North America only, i cannot get it on impulse. But I sure aint paying 33% extra for it either. I might buy it when I buy a new rig in the spring.

I like complex games, but I want them to guide me into the complexity (CIV IV does this rather well).

I like this if it comes at a cost. In addition to normal essense cost (or whatever the city cost is today) you could pay a certain amount of gold/resources to make a city with some prebuilt infrastructure. It would also be nice if such a city got a head start by moving 2% of your total population to it. Other cities would contribute with some of their people to give the new city a booming start.
