Techtree is not random now, but they will change it a lot in a later round of beta.

If this beta was connected to Steam I think we would see the following scenario. Techguy1 to Techguy2. "Hey, something is wrong here. The total playtime for last month only adds up to 80%. Whats up?". Techguy2 to Techguy1. "Its just the Stardokians going at it. You just forgot to include the betaplays again. They are betatesting 24/7 those crazy strategy guys" :d Anyways, I have enough suggestions to fill the internet :)

I cannot see your point here. I play with challenging/hard and dense monsters. There are plenty of stuff to do in the beginning. Bandits, spiders, ogres, mites and more to kill. I often cast a summon early (shadow warg) or get the sand golum through an item. I dont feel the need to produce any extra units until a while into the game. You will normally get a second hero near your starting position. These two pluss summons will kill the smaller armies.

I have another little suggestion while we are at it (and while I am drunk, but ignore any spelling errors). Passive ability Pack/Swarm. Some units (Wolves, spiders mayhaps) could have this ability that they get a bonus pr unit in the army. For each wolf in the army they get a +2 attack. If a normal wolf has an attack of 8, a group of 5 would have an attack of 8 + 4x2 = 16. If you kill a wolf during battle the attack would be 8 + 3x2 = 14 and so on. <

@manii It would be great if you could capture some early camp and spam cheap units on the map. It would be fun to try and overwhelm monsters with numbers. If you win and are careful, maybe some of them would level and get a bit stronger as well. Maybe you could use food as a resource for upkeep instead of gildars for these monsters. Food is plentiful early game. The camp would then be connected to one city and take food from it.

Thank you. I am shamed to admit that I love CIV IV, but havent played Fall from Heaven. My bad. There are so many cool things that can be added, and I have a hope that this will be a great game in the end. It just needs a lot of more "meat on its bones" :d The options are unlimited. They could have alchemy shops where you could make stuff from things you find in the wild. Make a cloak out of 5 spider silks, three dragon teeth will give you a dragon spear, hide o

FE beta is already lots better than Elemental. It has great potential and I play it for fun more than bug hunting. Of course its not a finished product, so its up to you if you want a beta experience. Still, I am pretty certain that FE will be a classy game in the end.

Here is what I think of the game in its current version. First I must say that I really enjoy this game, and am looking forward to what is to come. What FE does better than most games already (the great stuff) 1. All units gets experience, even the wildlings. Fantastic. This is something that can be used in interesting ways in the future as well. Imagine a roaming strong monster getting stronger and stronger as it chews up the wild :) 2. When you change

I am not a 100% sure that I get what you say, but here is my take on it. When you get the tech for having 5 units in a group, you should be able to upgrade a group with 3. This should cost money, crystal or metal according to what units it is. The experience of the group should be reduced accordingly. Its that simple methinks. I will be very surprised if this is not in the final game

I have yet to lose a war in FE. The AI can build up fine, but when the war is due, I always have a stack or two of elite units that wipes out his numerical advantage. Its still early days for the AI, but there is a lot to do as well. The AI doesnt pick up free stuff and dont build some tough champs with good magic. I play on challenging/hard with dense monsters

My top list of games: 1. CIV IV 2. Master of Orion II and Total Annihilation 3. Kings Bounty 4. Skyrim A new Master of Orion II would have me in full fear of failure, but with a grain of hope.

I was hoping for some war of culture (like in civ iv, where borderpushing was done with culture). If FE gets this as well, the joy in my heart will be immense. [e digicons]O:)[/e]

Another one. Do my soldiers ever start getting crystal weapons as upgrades, or do I have to specially design my forces for that to happen. The only warlike thing I have gotten out of the magic tree is Mages and they are outperformed by Archers anyways.

I cannot grasp how the production of mines and shards (when they are first created) is calculated. Sometimes its like 25 rounds to finish other times its far less. I also do not quite get the thing about the city sometimes having to produce it (when its close to city methinks), and it "blocks" my production for a long time. It seems faster and cheaper to just use outposts?? Maybe even make an outpost, start production of the shards and then place a city close to the shard/mine/w
Or just make naval combat be ship to ship boarding, and play out the battle like a normal tactical battle on a map that looks like ship decks, like King's Bounty did it.
Yep, there are lots of stuff that they could "borrow" from Kings Bounty. Passive abilities in tactical battles, spells, dragon pets and such ;)

Since we are playing hunt for numbers, I am giving FE a 75/100 atm and guesstimating that we could end up at 90. I am playing the beta for fun now, and really enjoying it. CIV IV is in my opinion the best game ever, and if FE gets anywhere close to that standard I will be a very happy puppy.

Will probably be killed by online features and DRM stuff. Wanna use that library that you just unlocked in the single player campaign? No problem, but its only available if you are online and logget on to AnotherOnlineService.com while playing single player. And you get the Library achievement!! I have given up on triple AAA publishers and games as you may tell.
