We'll have custom and dynamic coats of arms, but it'll be a visual thing for the Dynasty system instead of something to give various bonuses. As familys marry and expand, you can imagine the parts of different logos being combined in various ways (or so we're planning atm).
Great to hear you're planning to do this, I actually suggested something like this when the first screenshots with the coat of arms appeared. What do I win? [e digicons]O:)[/e] Anyway, if I
Scorpiana
Almost anything would be better compared to the current system. I'd prefer to pay upfront, but could also live with a 'per turn' cost until the building is completed.
Whats your problem with Vista x64?
Well, for one thing, it's too expensive for what it adds in my opinion. There isn't anything in Vista / 7 that makes me say 'Wow, now THAT's something I want...' So, why should I upgrade if XP64 works perfectly well?
I captured two enemy cities that were build rather close together. When upgrading these cities, I was able to get the upgrades from one city build close enough to the upgrades from the other city to make the city outlines overlap. While this isn't really wrong, it certainly doesn't look all that well. Maybe in this case the outlin
When I try to save the game using a name that was already used, the game should ask me a confirmation before overwriting the original save.
Well, I've been using XP64 at home for a few years now (from just after it became available really), upgraded a graphics card, upgraded motherboard and some other stuff and I never had any problems. It feels like the most stable OS I've ever used. I don't see any reason to give MS cash for an 'upgraded' OS that doesn't have anything that looks really usefull to me. Only crap I probably turn off as fast as possible, moving things around so I can't find them anymore and probably tries to give m
I like the idea of killing the one unit to end the game. It gives you a chance to pull victory out of a certain lose. So my vote is leave it as it is. Also chances are if your soveriegn dies then you are going to lose anyway and it would just be a slow painful death at times.
I must say I agree with you, if an enemy was able to kill your Sovereign, it means either you were very uncarefull with that unit, or the enemey was a lot stronger than you. Either way, I think it
Joke, right?
Well, I read an article a few weeks ago about a South African company that proved that IPoAC was faster there then using the leading ISP. So support for IPoAC might be a major selling point over there [e digicons][/e]
It isn't in yet, but I think Frogboy said somewhere that 'PBEM is a distinct possibility' or something like that, so I guess we'll have to wait and see, but can be hopefull.
I'm just hoping we aren't locked into a boring old patriarchal/primogeniture model for the dynastic stuff. I'd like, but don't expect, to see a canon faction that is fully matriarchal, where sons are bred to look good jousting and married off for fat doweries, alongside a faction or two where title-holders can choose their heirs, and perhaps even one where the sovereign isn't even obliged to choose among his or her offspring for an heir.
Let me just put a 'Me too' in he
Let me start off by offending half of the forum and say I hate the game Risk. I mean you are either winning the whole game or your losing the whole game.
I really have to disagree with you on this. I once won a game of risk after only having two teritories left in the European continent. After some turns building up my army again, I was able to win the game because I had to wipe out a player. That player was getting beaten up by one of the others had was at the end in a
Welcome to the team then [e digicons][/e]
I support this suggestion... It would make killing those spiders a bit more easy, now when I notice I don't have enough moves to reach a spider, I have to reassign my target to the Souvereign itself so I don't loose any moves in the next turn.
Is there any way to archive this build away? I want to save the intro forever, and maybe even all the other builds as well, keep a running chronicle with the intros and such.
You could use Impulse to make an archive You could use Impulse to make an archive from the game and after all patches / new betas. If you want to play an older version again, you can use Impulse to restore such an archive.
Taken... Hope this helps...
Well in normal single player you can add all non-custom factions. So be happy!
If you mean Skirmish by 'Normal single player', you have a different version than me. In skirmish you can only add up to ten enemies which leaves one faction you can't add.
i dont see a bug report thread yet and i have a couple of bugs to report.. am i somehow missing this forum thread?
Well, it isn't actually a bug report thread, but a whole new sub-forum. You can find it over here .
I'm just wondering what Hortz would think about this intro... [e digicons][/e] I guess as long as the animation is up to his standards, it will be fine...
You should be posting stuff like this in the BETA-forum over here but in this case, don't bother because I've already seen them mentioned over there... [e digicons][/e]
To be honest, I don't really understand why the souvereign has to be moved... Just let him / her stand in the city...
When you get your souvereign to drink from a magical fountain, your maximum health goes up with 10 hp. Your current health stays the same, even when you are at maximum health at the moment you drink. Shouldn't your current health go up as well? I mean, if the magic of the fountain is strong enough to make your maximum health go up, shouldn't your current health go up as well? Maybe relative to the difference between current health and max health at the moment you drink?
It seems when you level up your souvereign, the sight range decreses the first few levels. Here are some screenshots: And another one... Edit: Seems I can't get the
I noticed some strange things with faction selection as well... It seems you can't really change your opponents. I removed two opponents, but when playing the game, I still got all four opponents that were standard selected.
Middle mouse button hold down.
Would it be possible to make this changeable in the options? I'd like to be able to als (for instance) alt and then move the mouse to change the camera view. My middle-mouse button is the scroll wheel and isn't easily pressed...
Had this just happen to me as well... Debug.err can be found here
