Some great ideas that certainly would make the world look more 'realistic', I like it... [e digicons]k1[/e]
I am not sure that either of these fit into the description of the categories in the sticky so I apologise for the non-standard categorization. 1. Add an optional resolution filter to Options > Video to restrict the list of resolutions to a particular ratio [4:3|16:9|16:10]. Alternatively add the ratio to the text in the drop-down list of available ratios. This may make it easier for users to reduce their screen resolution while mai

I completly agree with you that the current leveling is kinda boring, it's hard to get excited about your sovereign gaining a level. The various objects that give you a +1 increase to a stat are as usefull as gaining a level, so at the moment I'm more excited when i get such an object than when I gain a level. Making these objects rares will only increase the excitement at finding one, compared to gaining a level, so such a change would only be a part of the solution I think.

If you look at the latest journal here , you'll find the following: One thing I've been reading on the forums has to do with weapons and defenses available. Right now, a lot of them aren't in (for instance, you only get daggers on melee weapons) because we still have to update the UI to handle the different t

I had no problem finding it on amazon.com, here's the link But it seems it isn't possible to ship to Belgium, you might try it for Germany, but I fear you'll have the same problem. Off course, if you ment amazon.de, you're correct and the game doesn't seem to be available there (Neither on amazon.co.uk or amazon.fr)

I see the Snathi as a 'humor' feature in GalCiv II, I understood that Elemental would be more serious about things like that so I don't expect the Snathi (or some similar race) to appear in the core game. And personally, I don't think they would really fit. If you want Giant Killer Squirrels, I think you'll have to mod them.

Thinking back on the way they did it with GalCivII, I guess those extra Monsters / Quests will be made available together with a patch.
Thank you, m'lady. It is very kind of you to wish me well. I've always found that you express yourself quite eloquently here on the forums. Whether you're talking about game mechanics or just expressing your opinion, I've always found it quite relaxing to read your posts. Your well wishes mean more then you know.
You're welcome, although maybe you should check out my profile sometime [e digicons][/e]

Indeed, Stardock is the one company I pre-order almost every game / expansion from. Part because I like being in the beta, part because I like the games you make, but mostly because I want to support a company that dares to make games for gamers and not follow the latest 'sure' way to make a hit. Thanks Stardock, keep it up...

Raven, I'm a bit slow in replying to this (haven't been keeping up with the forums much, blame all those great writers out there...) but I still have to add my support to your well being. You have added some great ideas to these forums and the game can only be better for that. I hope we can enjoy your company for a long time to come. Get well, we'll need everyone to beat the AI Brad is writing when it starts destroying the world [e digicons][/e]

Just a little (maybe [e digicons]O:)[/e] ) question, will we be able to just have a few AI's play against each other and see how / why they decide to do the things they do? That could make for an interesting new game, have people try to develop an AI that can beat the others, could even become a tournament, let the best AI win and become self aware... Ok, that last part may be a bit too much [e digicons][/e]
The only think I don't like in LOTR is the lack of spell effects. I never read the book, some said that there is a lot of magic in the book while some others say that there is not.
I guess this depends a lot on how you define 'Magic', I'm one of those people who would say there isn't much, and most of what there is, is more implied magic than the special effects kind of magic. In that regard, I think the movies followed the books very well. Comparing the books w
Industry is part of military strength. I can't count the number of games where the enemy AI thought it was doing well in a war against me, because it had a slightly bigger army, despite me having a huge advantage in production that would very quickly give me the advantage. While such an advantage obviously can be neutralized with a quick enough assault, I've never seen an AI actually aim to do so.
Indeed, I had the same thing happen

I don't have Impulse installed on the PC where I am now, but there should be an option somewhere to archive a game. If you do that on the laptop, you could transfer that archive to the desktop PC and have Impulse restore that archive. Hope this helps...
http://youtube.com/watch?v=zTSyg4JdUVc - Fable - No voiceover needed. Very epic, and reveals a lot through imagry. Not recommended as its very difficult to pull off right.
Sorry, but this intro looks very bland to me... It doesn't tell anything about the game to come, half the time I'm not really sure what I'm looking at (Ok, maybe that's just my eyes...) I really like the Elemental teaser movie... Nothing to fancy, it tells the history off the world, and what's to come

I think I'd like to have as much of the lore as possible. As said by other people, as long as there are some customization options available, and there is some way for us to create our own moddels and import them into the game, we'll probably get a lot off new races created by modders anyway. So I'd like you to concentrate as much as possible on the races you want to create and want to use in the story.

He might not actually be Hortz, but when I read the title, my first reaction was 'Hey, looks who's back...' Now, just in case you aren't Hortz... Animation doesn't mean anything when the actual gameplay (with or without good graphics) is bad. I rather have a fun ascii game (Angband, Dwarf Fortress, ...) that I can keep on playing than a graphic powerhouse that's only fun for one (if that...) playthrough...
