That was a fun video to watch. Seeing things discussed on your end, for the multitude of reasons. I definitely liked the "Insider" feel of it. But also was really excited to see that map. Wow that is a great looking map to explore. Hey Brad, that 2nd video, seems to be a duplicate of the first video but cutting out a bit of the beginning and the end.

It looks like the Beautify land spell, aftereffect.
Hey Brad, can you trick the Pioneer's into starting to autoexplore seeking a special resource, or going to a special resource that was found, tagging it for the city to be aware of in the future, and then add in a requirement of a minimum distance away from the home city, and then require that they then have to build a city next to a resource? I have other questions too. Is it easier to build beaches with raise land, and also set harbors into place? And will the Sages b

The introduction remains the same but the performance hit seems to recover after a few minutes (which it did not before).
Well right now they're testing aspects of multicore threading. That's what's causing your system to essentially choke. And the video it was trying to play is an intro video, you can disable that in the options menu on the first page. From there, you need t
As I've seen all three movies now with an ex-girlfriend, I can say these are some ridiculous comedies. In my opinion, and that opinion doesn't devalue others who find enjoyment in it for other reasons. I find myself aggravated though watching it because they are all vapid little creatures. I get the idea of a love triangle and their attempts to facilitate her falling in love with two different guys at the same time. That doesn't make her a slut in my book. That just makes her
Thanks for the kind words StevenAus. And to let everyone know I've got a 6 new videos Empire oriented videos that run near 50 minutes of gameplay. Which includes faction creation and sovereign creation. As always give them sometime to be fully processed by YouTube, and when they are fully complete, they'll be visible in up to 1080p HD quality level. Now I'm going to bed, gotta keep that third shift approach even on days off. (I Hope you all enjoy the new videos.)
Try the multiple continents - Medium map. You'll find some trolls to the east. That one is much more difficult.
Update your Sound Card as well. That's been a headache in other games I've seen over the years. One that is often overlooked.
So will anyone ever spend that 5 essence for those wolves in that cave quest?
I did in beta 2B, and got 2 Eben wolves. They were pretty tough creatures. Not worth 5 essence then and my guess is not now either. But that's the point of save games.
Good to hear SuperTimo!
As I've experienced, and not sure if your issue is similar. But you need to wait before loading any save game. Until the computer has had a good 15-20 seconds of choking on the multi-threading it's trying to do. Basically the game is stuttering along for a good 30 seconds at times. But wait till the music starts playing again without any choppiness, and then it should load okay.
You can tell when you watch the background screen, as it starts flying down towards that city in the background. Wait till the music also stops stuttering, and then starts playing smoothly.. thats when you can try to load it. But don't try to load it until it stops basically choking on itself. If you do it'll choke every time.
Quoting Sethfc, reply 5I like the variance. Maybe have an option to have a map generator 'equalize' starting locations or to allow it to be random for map generation. I got a start location yesterday where after 15 minutes the ONLY resource I'd found was a shard. There's variance, and then there's "you're totally crippled this game, sorry". I mean I had almost every spell in Procepinee's staring spellbook researched by then, and I di

I figure it would show what a tester who's trying things out see's. While also still trying to "Play" to see what's there. And see what ideas pops into my head as I'm doing it. It's sort of how I test things. Approaching it as if it were a real version, each time. And see what stands out. Now I just need to get a harbo
Hey Brad, You've really hit upon the head what needs to happen to increase the "Fun" of the game. One thing I've kept thinking about through this beta so far as is that, "Where Are the Random Monsters"? And the idea to have them spawning from areas out there like the forests or swamps, or coast lines, is just great. Genuinely. And I'm liking the fact you want to make them dynamic, having them group up at times. Wouldn't it be cool though if after a certai
Alright, got 4 more videos for you all to enjoy. Another 32 or so minutes worth of videos!
What's your secret for building the harbor? Cause I've been trying, even when I clear room to place next to the harbor, it won't let me.. how much needs to be in the water, or is it 2 pieces of beachfront property and 2 regular connected to the city.. this is really getting frustrating.
I'm up for randomized maps, with a variety of good huts, and the ever important starting resources. (Though I would give some gold to find out why I can't build a harbor when I have beach front property available. Cause that's kinda left me in a bizarre situation that I'm land locked (Large Map/Multiple Continents) and I'm the only one on it. And have 3 cities by the water, with beach front property and room to build it, but it as of yet will not let me do so.) And those are cities 5,
One other thing along the lines of "Leveling" up Cities, and what not. If it's possible, I think it would be a great way to enhance, EVERY Aspect of the game. Troops as they level can choose new "Powers/Feats/Talents". And on that idea, I was thinking it would be really neat if there were Major Talents, and Minor Talents. And that at every level a unit goes up. You can select a bonus. Say At level 1 right off the bat, when building them, you should be able to cho

We've not seen the full value of long term play. And my guess is we've also not seen all the special resources currently planned or
