Depends, shift is select a+b+everything in between. Shift-click on something c and it is a+c+everything in between. Ctrl is a+b. Then when you click on c, a+b+c. At least here in Sweden.

I'm not against unhappiness in itself, but in civilization and partly in galciv2 the reasons happiness changed were just ridiculous. It was like reach city/planet lvl x and build happiness generator y z number of times. Quite boring and unimmersive. I like the happiness in Empire:TW the most of all the games I've played. Where the mayor and stationed troops mattered more than some inns and brothels. If an enemy invaded the country it was nationality that mattered. So when I invade Rus

I will not comment on the story they have made until I can try the campaign. So far it looks promising though. The lore should be centered around the campaign but still allow some room for sandbox play. And in that regard I see no faults except for some minor things that break immersion but most of those will be removed during the beta process. (the inns all over the place, the bugs that pop up here and there, etc.) Whoever says that story elements are useless and should be scrappe

Fantasy does not demand several races. Most fantasy has several races, but you should look at the definition of fantasy too. High fantasy pretty much always has several races, but most other fantasy usually doesn't, not in the sense I think you mean. I'm not certain Elemental might be considered high fantasy. Then again it is all definitions, but my definition of fantasy does not include several races. I personally find that refreshing, it's a shame my book (unfinished) already has se

Charging for custom maps in sc2? Where did you read that? Have never heard it at all. Yeah, and who is gonna make the CoD games now? Treyarch? Subscribing to something that might vanish seems a little bit weird. Yeah, and Kotick is dense and corporate. Not bad, just aware of how the maret works. I can point to the quote ZehDon said above. Or simply say that the free market strives to make as much money as possible. The consumers make the market and the market makes the consumers, supp

Maybe if you buy items and have many caravans merchants gain exp, and if you build things admins get exp, and if you make a yellow or red breakthrough your researchers et exp? Pick one perk/skill/feat on level up like the research breakthrough shouldn't be too hard to implement. I would like that idea, that you can start off with a basic merchant who ends up as a guildmaster, or a logisics expert. Here are some ideas. Merchant Guildmaster - Unites and orga

Going from a lore approach, it would be better if building a city on or irhgt next to a refugee camp to start at a level higher or something, seeing that there already are people who make a living there. EDIT: It would also mean that it is better in the late since it supports people without using space, but will in turn have less special resources. Very useful if you are going for a fast expand, less so if you want all those resources.

If a multiple installation LAN works (read works) I don't really care about hot-seat. The only times it would be better would be when you have a limited number of computers. For example, when we go to our summer house we only have my laptop and hotseat is really nice then, but otherwise we have so many comps that either works.

Some blokes in stardock are giving us their mods around release. One would be a new race if I remember correctly. But vanilla will only have two races.

Settlements as in small neutral nations like the ones in civ5? (I like that idea, even though it is ripping off) Everyone should have a reason for becoming adventurer/champion etc eh? So some might have some wanderlust, others running from the law, others seeking glory and riches, and so on. Their 'motivation' determines their initial standing to the factions of the world, especially their home. One motivation might be survivor and they will join whoever asks/bribes them first

Nice compilation. Right now they are driven by the tiny gibbering numbers in their head. They don't do anything really 'human'. The adventurers go to their target which might be half the world away, when that is done they select a new target and so on. But the ai would receive polish and I assume that the adventurer ai is included there. Hope so anyway... [e digicons]:-"[/e] But your idea of assigning roles to the producers would be appreciated. Before battle you carry everything you will wear into battle + a tent, some food, etc.(Nobles had packhorses, and in some campaigns soldiers too, but htis was not majority) In battle you carry much less than in prebattle. Weight in battle is rarely a concern. Halberdiers didn't use many shields because guns had become common when halberdiers became common. Shields can stop crude guns, but aren't reliable enough to manufacture. A small shield attached to the wrist while you are

But cities cost essence and take up a lot of space, I meant this as a tactical option, to be built near caravan routes, in mountain passes, or as a base for hit-and-run attacks. I know about the fort in the city, but that works like a wall. Simply something you place in cities that might be attacked. What I mean is that a large nation can set one side of the country on the defensive, or someone who has to defend a key position can do so without going through the whole city process.</p

I would like to be able to build forts that you can build around the map to help your armies and your nation. I don't just want the generic civ4 forts that boost defence to your 15 longbowmen but forts that are actually realistic(magic is realistic here) and tactical. I have some ideas in mind: 1. Castle, regular fort that can maintain a limited amount of soldiers but costs maintenance (will become ruined and maybe ahunted if you stop maintaining it). Can only hold a set number of tro

Equipping both a twohanded weapon and a shield is common practice in real warfare. Every spearsman has a shield and several halberdiers and two-handed swordsmen had shields either on their backs or attached to the wrists. Archers are way too common to neglect a shield in real life. But according to standard rpg guidelines, a shield and a twohanded weapon do not work together. I prefer the real life version to the standard rpg version.

For instance you can order a build by doubleclicking the improvement or clicking the oppenent and pressing build. This is to make it easy to access but also easier to understand if you jump right into it. You can select the sov by clicking on the tree or by scrolling all over the map to him, or by zooming out zooming in to him. And none of those take screen space except the build button (which doesn't bother me), the tree might take place but it is faster than moving the window manually.

I meant a list like this: Helmets: some spikes, soem horns, some different noseguards, some chainmail sides etc.

They said that most cosmetics will not be seen until release but make a list of what you would like, that is always helpful. Personally I think the helmets are lacking in style but we will just have to wait and see.

http://filebox.me/view/d9phdfk6i Since filebox says EleSav is an invalid file simply rename the .jpg into EleSav. Ironically enough it is named unbugged because I was so happy there were no problems until wham! (to test it: hit end turn and move Lini into the mountain pass just ahead of him) The army of Lini tries to cross the mountain pass only to 'bounce back' and head to some square far to the east. I reloaded the save and got
