Yeap, same thing happens to me now. Was playing the beta fine yesterday.
Not sure if I misunderstood the latest postings from Stardock, but I'm still finding I have to wait 10-15 minutes per game on skirmishes/tourneys to get a matchup. Is this similar for everyone else?
From what I understand of the latest blog post is that these times and connection problems will be significantly decreased with Monday's update and others next week.
I can't log in as well. As soon as I click "Internet" It freezes. I bring up the Task Manager and it says Demigod is not responding. Maybe if I waited longer I would get an error message...Anyone else freeze when trying to log in? Oh, and I have the Beta by the way.
You can check it out at http://www.demigoddb.com
Even better, can't wait for it to be complete.
I was doing a search for the Demigod Skill trees so I can do some comparing, when I found this site. http://darkwave-studios.com/Demigods/ It's not mine, but I thought it deserved a link on the offical forums. Nice for planing builds in your down time.
Yeah, any class of Demigod that's only counter is to have many expensitve pots handy when he ganks your is not good.
I notice this too. I think it has problems when you try to put one too close to the edge. Even if it looks like it'll fit...it won't let you.
How about giving us 50% off on a SD game instead? I don't need another copy of Demigod, but give me 50% off on Elemental and I'll go preorder right away.
There is a reason why they want to offer this. To energize the multiplayer community. If we want to give Demigod a jump after a sub-par launch, we need to give our friends a discounted copy. I for one am gonna try to convice my brother to buy my discounted copy. World of Warcraft has a firm grip on him. He thought Demi
Do not make it MP only. I have the game and I'm still playing SP just to figure out the basics of each demigod
That kinda makes sense, but multiplayer is just so much more fun. Plus an influx of people into online play will help stimulate the multiplayer community. I think the best way to limit the Demo is to only allow 2 Demigods. One General, one Assassin. No Patheon and No Favor points. Let them play all the maps. The should be a
They (GPG) are working NOW (maybe..) on features and bugs they should have worked on BEFORE release...Again, in contrast with the connection issues, these are issues that existed before release and should have been taken care of THEN.
Should we give them a spanking? You are just stating the obvious now, we all know and understand that very well. But this is what we got. If you don't like it you can get your money back. They have been giving us daily updates on how they
1. Magic Missile. Sends 1,2,4,8 magic missles (depending on level) at a target area that does area damage.
After actually using Boulder Roll a bunch lately, I kinda like the idea now of a AoE magic missle. Just make it a smaller area but much greater damage than your average damage spell. Make it a spell you have to aim a little (like Boulder Roll) but yeilds great results when it hits.
On top of that, I dont see how totems fit in with a tr
They are all rambling about connectivity.
Yeah...which was the most detrimental issue with Demigod right now. I wouldn't call that rambling.
Almost none, if not completely none mentioned my points.
Not true...here we go
We appreciate the patience of those who are having difficulties. I can assure you that Gas Powered Games and Stardock are working inhuman hours to s
The mere fact my post was deleted shows that they do not want to acknowledge this.
You're right...it's a conspiricy. They never plan on fixing any bugs and trying to hide the truth from the public so they can get away with it.
If they deemed a certain part of his post as inflamatory, delete that part. You don't delete a post containing a legitimate list of issues with your project simply because they've been mentioned previously, and then link to a post that refers to some of the issues while writing off others.
The issues have already been raised. They are well know. It was an inflamatory post by someone that didn't use the search function or just wanted a turn on the soap box
Trying to portray the game to have been released in a finished state is an outright lie. This game is first and foremost a multiplayer game, it would fail to return the investment completely if shipped only with its single player component. So saying the game was "done" is so misleading and deluded it feels like outright fraud.
Yeah, matchmaking is borked, but I'm sure you've noticed the daily feedback they have giving us about how they are working on and
"High, here is my idea for a gank class..."
They seem like one is bigger than the other then!
Well of course, they belong to two different people... Anyway, had another crash, seems to be when I fail to connect to someone. Not sure if this is what you found a fix for or not. The Problem I have with TB right now, is that some of his abilities seem redundent. He's got so many types of AoE when it usually only takes one to clear out a creep wave. I've been trying to utilize his stance switching bonuses trying Fire/Ice builds. I'll get max Fireball and Deep Freeze to get Fire and Ice, and then I'll get Rain of ice, because at max level that'll give me 2 ice debuffs to Deep Freeze at max level. But My second fire abiltiy I'm not sure about
-are those fingers or rocks in frogboys pic?-
I always thought it was a frog hanging on to two nipples...
The biggest game I've gottne so far is a 3v3...and that was a custom match. In Pantheon it's always 2v2...well sometimes 1v1 :D In Skirmish I've gotten 5v5 matches...but the majority of the Demigods are AI in those situations.
Just crashed trying to join a game. I also have another issue I was wondering about. What causes not being able to connect to some players. Fore Example. I'm player A. I can connect to player B, but not Player C. Howerver, Player B can connect to player A and C...? I did notice connecting to a lobby faster. Although after I lost a 3v3, it pretty much froze at the end game Scores. When I went to click main menu, an "Connectabilty window appeared behind the Scores window and it locked up. I opened up Task Manager and it still said it was "Running" as opposed to "Not Responding"
And yes, I never realized it fully, but TB is a mid game monster. Reg blooms late game with the access to those items.
Am I the only one who doesn't really like the idea of this dynamic? Certain DGs are only good at certain points of the game? If there is a 1v1 verses TB and Reg, both players of equal skill, does that mean TB will always win because he is better mid game than Reg? Or you play a really great 3v3, both teams upgrading at relatively t
Warning though, if Demigod MP is already fine for you, don’t mess with this.
How do you define..."fine"? I mean I can play MP, but not perfectly. Like most of the time when I do Skirmish once the game starts I hear "Player has left the game" a bunch of times and I find myself alone. Or with Pantheon, I find the same thing or I get the 2v1 situation. So I'd say 50% of the time MP works and with Customs, if I have the patients and I don't get booted t
I agree. Whether it's imbalanced or not, it just feels like getting the super items favors melee based Demigods more. There just needs to be more "Expensive Endgame super items" that help spell DPS as well. I just don't like the fact that the best thing to do endgame is to get a super +Damage +Attack speed artifact and pwn with your auto attack. First one to Ashkandor wins...meh.
