I love walls of text when there is something on that wall worth reading [e digicons][/e] . Keeping up with this kind of communcation with the community about new ideas and future updates to Demigod would be excellent. More Wall-O-Text please!
Hold down Control when targeting the enemy Demigod then you won't target a minion or creep.
They need to make it a toggle...I think it's pretty rare I would want to shoot a creep/minion with my 1300pt Fireball.
I changed my name as well. I did it with the My Account tab in this forum. I changed it, relogged in with the new name through impulse and Demigod, but when I log into Demigod, it still has my old name. Even though my new login name works.
I really appritiate the feed back. The amount of communication is amazing, and videos on top of all of it. Keep up the good work.
So what did he do differently? If it was a Favor item that put him over the top, you'll get yours soon enough. You lose a few unfair fights, by that time you have the favor to buy your own. OR you picked a favor item that didn't help you in that specific engagment. I agree Favor items making it harder on the Newb up against the Veteran with almost all of them unlocked. But just think about it for a minute. Would favor items make much of a difference anyway? I mean it's
I would like some clearification on this. To a newbie like me, it isn't obvious what is better when for what Demigod. + or %. Do regen rates differ for each Demigod?
The differentiation between 'general' and 'assassin' didn't seem to really be thought about much except in terms of the four generals spawn minions of their own and have to spend money on idols. The terms really feel like misnomers. The kinds of abilities they get and such dont seem to go in tow with the theme that these guys were built around. An example: The rook -- even at max level, the boulder doesn't stun for very long. The hammer is avoidable b
That's not really a trade off. To me it sounds like Generals have the option of buying Idols. If they don't buy idols they can get the same gear Assassins can.
Well if that's the case it doesn't sound too bad. But still that leaves my main question unanswered. What's the General's trade-off for having minion idols while Assassins don't? Even if a General's assassin build is straight forward, is it as good as an Assassin's..."Assassin" build? And what's the advantage of being flexable with your builds? Once people start learning the game people will became familiar with Assassin builds and know what to expect with them as well.
Minions are way too weak. So Generlas must be able to pick on a assasin in 1 on 1.
So does that mean Generals are just better than Assassains? Because they can do what Assassins do anyways PLUS they have minions? Or are idol minions so worthless Generals have to be just like Assassins?
Generals who run assassin builds are indeed still weaker than actual assassins, you're probably running into Generals using Assassin builds who are GREAT at the Demigod they're using.
Is that a fact? I'm still new to the game. If Generals get minions/idols, what do Assassins get to make them unique? Just seeing some of the abilities so far, I can't seem to tell. I see Torch Bearer has auras that buff minions, who is an Assassin, and Vampire Lord abilities that make him
But how many Generals do you see with the Avalible options that Assassins have in terms of what they do (assassinate =P)
That's what I was wondering. Do assassins indeed have better builds to "assassinate" or can Generals do the exact same thing PLUS they can buy some idols? I know it sounds like Assassins and Generals aren't that different from each other, I just want to know of if there is some sort of trade off that Generals get for having those minion idols w
Well yeah, it's still a fun game. But at a glance, it almost makes Generals feel like they have an edge over Assassains. They just seem like Demigods with more abilities.
I haven't been following this game closely in development, but I thought Generals were supposed to be characters that get their strength from minions and have abilities that support them. But a character like the Torch Bearer has an Aura the buff/debuffs minions and he's an Assassin. Is there any true difference to Assassins and Generals besides Generals being able to get those minion idols? Can assassins do anything a General can not? Like what makes Assassins stand out besides not h
This is probably the most fun I've had with a game that has gotten such poor reviews. The reason why I bought it was because I liked DoTA back in the day. (Although I was never hardcore into it. I think the last version I played there was less than 20 heroes, and now I've been hearing it's up to 80+ [e digicons]o_O[/e] ). Plus the only major flaw of the game I've been hearing is the launch/connection totally stinks. Sure the crappy launch sucks, but even in it's broken state I'm havin
Here I just bought the game and thought the connection problems were even worse than I heard about. Here the servers are just down...
If the servers only come back monday, i'm sorry to say (on principles) i'm going to never play this game again. I already started telling my friends not to buy i
I love it when fans make threats like these on gamming forums. It's like a waving a giant flag saying, "Hey! I'm under the age of 16 and extremely im
After I clicked checkout for my Dark Avatar purchase, I never got a order confirmation or an e-mail with the serial number. I just went to some other search page in Stardock. I've sent sales an e-mail with no response back yet, and I don't want to try the order again fearing they'll just charge me twice for the game. What's going on?
I'm having a similar type of problem. After I clicked the checkout button I never got a serial number e-mailed to me. I requested my serial numbers again from the support page but in that e-mail there is no sign of a Dark Avatar serial number. Are there servers down today or what?
I also thought if it doesn't show up on the list, it means they are already at war with them.
So they improve your overall influence?...This is the kind of stuff I want to know that the tutorials and manual don't tell you
I guess I would like to see video tutorials of specific aspects of the game. Like I know an Infuence starbase help spred influnce...but like...how. Where is the best place to put it? How does it work when crunching the numbers? Things like that. The tutorials that came with the game are great and enabled me to jump right into the game. After playing my first game however, I find myself trying to dig deeper and finding out "why" things work
...I'll tell you why...It's too dang awsome! I swear I've spent half my time with this game so far fooling around with the ship builder. Everytime I get a new ship tech I have to go straight to the ship builder and see what I can tweek. Since I'm so preoccupide with the ship builder...I get nowhere fast in the actual game! Thanks alot guys...for making a feature so good it takes away from the rest of the game...[/sarcasm]
I've beeng playing this game on a small map with 3 other civs and it seems to be taking a while. I'm on the second night and I've just gotten "large" ships. Should have I beaten that game by now?
Hey...if I've taken the time to registar on these forums...don't you think I've already watch that? I'm tempted to preload the game just so I can watch the tutorials, but I really should since I'm probably getting this game for my birthday.
Ahhh...come on...please?
