hehe, I've had some weird advisors before. My dog once told me what to do, I laughed... but he was right. He was my best advisor!

Good idea! I'd like to see this applied to more then just the spouse but all champions.
I don't like the food cost for markets. The first thing I do is mod the file to remove it. Some resource production from buildings is acceptable and realistic. If your going to put a food cost on it then make the benefit more worthwhile or give us an income based on ALL the city production (food, materials, iron, crystal = more gold bonus).
Apologies. Out of town for a few days for a meeting and then I have job testing. Might be a few before an update.
The barbarians certainly need to be nerfed and spawn less. Even on "Easy" difficulties this is a problem.
Odd. I thought they'd fixed this. You have any duplicates of the CoreNPC.XML files... perhaps? Maybe a modded one?
You seem to forget that the iron resources that can be revealed by Adventuring techs.
Perhaps the OP should research the more advanced technologies and see if this is still a problem. I honestly do believe that everyone should have SOME access to iron within 20 plots of their start. That wouldn't be to difficult to implement (mod idea). I agree, that we shouldn't have to research a technology just to obtain some iron.
I feel like calling you a name, so i will. you are an ass. he made his point? obviously he didn't because you don't seem to get it. why in the hell should he have to mod the game into playability? why do you think that simply because YOU are not having a problem, that everything is alright? the devs have already admitted that different hardware configurations are the source
You should be good. Unless they change all the art, designations, and names for all the armors then your mods shouldn't be made useless; I doubt they'd do that. The mods I've made in beta still work and haven't been made obsolete yet. Lastly, I think everyone would appreciate some more variety in female armor and everything you have proposed could add quite a bit more to the game's content. Good luck!
The images should be commented out or deleted by now. Regardless, the images regenerate themselves if there isn't an image or if they are invalid paths. Obviously, nobody should have access to my "Users/James/Documents" folder for champion Greg's image. I also don't want to upload them because these images take up A LOT more memory. Also, if your interested in submitting your hero we could start the " Community of Heroes" Mod . I can
Yeah, I cannot really believe this, especially because I now wasted a total of $60-70 on it! I figured it'd last a bit longer because I enjoyed playing it and the servers always seemed full. The character customization was enjoyable, combat wasn't bad, driving was fun, and the chat system (locational voip) was, IMO, groundbreaking for an MMO. The sad thing is that nobody else will ever try something like this again. Damn :(
1) Invisible ruler I dislike this aspect in gaming. It's old, it's been done, and it can be boring. It's also unrealistic and uncreative. I believe that games used to do this because they didn't have the time, assets, or the design for how to successfully implement it. I'd rather have someone represent the leader in my gameworld these days. I'd certainly like the possibility of having one. I also enjoy the possibility and aspect of customizing my ruler
Great game. How does it run? I haven't had much success with getting these older games to run properly on modern computers. Also, whats new or changed with this fan-patch?
The Pear engine worked and evolved over 7 years. Kumquat should hopefully go for another 7 years . After that, I suspect we'll all be licensing stuff or the gaming platform on the PC will have changed dramatically. I remember on the eve of launch my biggest concern being diplomatic AI. Not stability.
I'm still of the opinion that this engine will require a re-name if you want it to last more then th
This game isn't MOOII or Gal Civ 2. I imagine it'd be more difficult then we can imagine to properly set up a UI and a system to properly make all the things you're talking about. Why would an Elemental texture editor be any better then Adobe or GIMP? You can also get more into the details if you modify the XML code itself. It won't be easy (either way) but it's certainly possible.
The code itself is hardcoded straight from elemental.exe. TradeItems..PassTurn....Guard...Propose.Fortify.Info....LaySiege....BuildOnResource.Disband.Recruit.AutoExplore.AttackUnit..BuildRoad...FoundEmpire.BuildTown
I was afraid of that :(
There should be a way you can edit your race's file and remove the pre-built units.
If this hasn't been stated enough already, Gal Civ 2 is worth the purchase. It's a fantastic 4X strategy game, a classic in the industry (imo), and a game that every true gamer should have played.
Not a bad idea as long as it doesn't become too overpowered, maybe a limit of only a couple tile bonus. I'd also like to see diplomatic capital as something I can "spend" on another civilization to increase their relationship with me (outside of trading).

That looks like the "city is too close" thingy. I wish we could just disable that (for building) because it's just not fun . I believe that there could also be some hidden resources or buildings around your city too.
Honestly, I've had to upgrade all my iPhone apps for the iPad because it's sooo much easier to use and the display is so much larger. I even bought one of those Apple Pen devices for $15 so I can draw on my iPad, which is awesome. I haven't been able to play with an iPhone 4 yet (still got my 3GS) but one thing that the iPad misses is the "cell phone" internet you can get. My iPad is limited by wireless coverage while the iPhone can work almost anywhere regardless of wireless and 3G (which ma

Nice fix. Didn't know about this add on. Is there a way to modify it so the "list" or numbers don't show up when code is copied? Example: Test > BadCode > This doesn't work because of the .alt conflict
