Thanks so much for this information! I would love to create a custom NPC (or several). Can the created NPC have essence, out of curiosity? I think there could be more variety in the models, units, and armors of the characters in Elemental but I actually like the art style. I don't think its much of anything like Warcraft... at all. I also don't even mind Warcraft's art style. Perhaps you should try Spellforce 2, you'd probably like the art style.
I'm signing on with this thread.
Yes, this mod hasn't been updated for a while now (nothing new to add). The FixHeads.XML file IS broken. I only left it in there to see if someone else could possibly fix it. I'll just remove that from the next update. And there should be a ModEyes.XML file... I think. This should contain all the eye fixes and allow Amerian Female to see things in more then one eye color. You no longer need to overwrite the CoreEyes.xml (that was from beta).
criticism is healthy. learning how to deal with criticism is an important life skill. i criticize because i care. now quit being such big babies. now if this thread asked "how can i alter the values of the AI so that they can arrange their own marriages later in the game rather than from the start?" I would have replied, "the AI was not designed to do that and therefore code would have to b
Yes, this is actually pretty easy. As Murteas said, just make them in sovereign creator then modify their XML file and add/edit this: 0 Thief <span style="color: #000000; background-color: #fff
They could and should just have advice coming from your main champions (highest level or class based). If there is advice about farming then it could come from a "Farmer" champion instead of a "Warrior". Yes, we don't really need Janusk.
Thirded this idea. Would make the dynasty system more meaningful and powerful. I don't believe anyone has discovered how to modify this. I don't believe that it's in the XML, I certainly haven't found it.
i certainly never accused anyone of cheating. i just implied that it was stupid. also that accusing the AI of "cheating" was stupid. and that any concern of these incredibly weak units giving the ai any sort of advantage is stupid. now i can add that claiming that it makes no sense is...stupid. because it is an entirely needed component for the whole "dynasty" thingy. ... <
Yeah, it'd be nice to be able to disable this. I haven't found that code yet though. :(
Nimbyjester beat me to it :( You going to increase it or decrease it?
Excellent idea! ... that being the "Man of the Hour" from the Total War series and not the dog. I always enjoyed it when that happened and it'd add a little more depth to units.
Hmmm, I missed this in Psychology. I suppose this also explains the rumors that Blizzard was considering making player use their real names.
Believe me, I've tried using durations. There should be a whole section of code that is commented out with all the variations (unless it got deleted) I tried for implementing experimental stuff. I spoke to a dev about that and they said that currently only works with items and spells, both temporary things. However, they said this should change in the future because of it's possibilities. I'm not going to hold my breath. They also said there may be a way to "trick" t
I'm gonna have to Wikipedia this Theory, aren't I?
wth, the reviewer's game has RIVERS ! Probably an old screenshot. Read the review and it was fair. I think he did his best to give credit where credit was due, explain the enjoyability of the game, but also hit on the negatives. The closing comments were also pretty thoughtful and I think he's right. <span style="font-size: xx-

The thing is that I'm trying to bulk up champions altogether. An early merchant champion SHOULD be able to kill a peasant and it shouldn't be a problem for him. He should, however, have trouble against a group of peasants or a trained swordsman. Late game, however, a Merchant champion should probably not be able to stand up to a cave troll all alone. You'll need to group the champions mid to late game if they want to survive against monsters. At least, this is what I'm envisioning. I
I think they are; either gold or a resource bonus between the trading cities. Unfortunately, they are acting as a food multiplier... which doesn't make any sense to me. I mean, food and roads are nice... but I'd rather see gold and resources being trades. That'd make them more worthwhile, especially for cities without any food production.
There are no more patches. They've abandoned the game to play Halo:Reach.
That's not out for ten more days. Stardock didn't have time to sign up for the beta either. We're guaranteed at least one more patch.
The only alternative I could think of would be to add a cooldown effect to the teleport spell. I don't think you should raise the mana requirement because some of us don't play casters. I have, for example, never had above 15 mana in any of my games. I also don't really want to have to wait 25 turns to cast it once and then be out of mana... for a quarter of my child's early life.
Hmmm? Next week sometime. EDIT : I forgot, it kinda is next week now. So, maybe this week. Hopefully the 9th, maybe. Who knows! I'm going with late night on the 9th. They seem to regularly release these patches.
