When I try to select a unit on the right side of the screen, many times the info card will pop-up over the unit and then I can't see him or confirm that I selected him. The info card should have some type of logic that will place it on the left if it would otherwise cover the item that was selected. It also seems to pop-up a little to fast for my taste, maybe a couple of seconds more of mouse hover before it goes, would be helpful. Maybe this was in the options, but

Confirmed. I also saw this bug when playing from a saved game: Researched Warfare and didn't get the Barracks or Light Weaponry medalions to be available after unlocking them.
I've also noticed that your gold seems to disappear at an alarming rate without any reason why that I can see. Then all my troops desert and I can't build anything, money continues to go away, downward spiral into restart. One thing I'm thinking is that when you build a building, you pay for it twice: once when selecting it and once when it completes. The administrative expensives seem to rise just as fast as your income, so there doesn't appear to be any way to ac
I've noticed the reduction in sight upon level up several builds ago. I didn't notice if it was only Parridan, though. I also think the sovereign's initial movement points should be at least 2. It is very hard to do anything but chase bandits away and explore very slowly.
I also noticed this. It seems to happen more when the sovereign is near a city. I couldn't get him to move at all and he didn't catch up later. Sometimes he would move only a half square. Seems he could be caught up in the city build small squares. When I went in and only set a move of 1 square away, I was able to move him like that away from the city and then it seemed the longer move order would work after I was several squares clear of the city.

I've only played one game with the .25 build and I found that there were much less wandering monsters and only 2 opponents. The wandering spiders didn't appear till I had 75% of the map explored.
I'm also all for this idea. Right now I really wish Civ IV did this, especially for the ships.

I still suffer from the same family tree problem, as well. I wasn't able to get any menus up after trying to restore the file once in the game either, so I have not been testing. There isn't much point since, like you said, there are many more bugs that messing with the files seem to cause. Until there is a fix for the family tree CTD and I can test a 'clean' install, I'll keep plyaing Civ IV.

I thought about wall mounting it and it seems like the best solution. Is there any way to mount a flatscreen on the outside of a corner so that the tv can turn to both sides? I've also never had any problems watching SD or HD on the DLP and the HD is fantastic, especially football games. It seems you can see every blade of grass on the field. Sometimes its kind of scary seeing all the blemishes on the newscasters that were previously hidden by the SD.
There's also the DLP. We got a 57" DLP about 2 years ago. At the time you got more inches for your dollar over plasma and LCD. I don't know if that still holds true. You also don't get the pixel issues, burn-in, or glare and the color/contrast is superior to both. It looks like you have 180 deg viewing or as close as you can get. It is very light for the size. Disadvantages: You have about 17" of depth, so you must set it on something (we bought a n
I agree with Pigeonpigeon on the flexibility of the channeller. I think it could work that as your chaneller goes up in level or something like that, you get to choose a new bonus, which could be more power in an existing magic school, access to a new magic school or some type of special ability. I think that someone who specializes in a particular field would be able to cast the same lower level spells for more effect. I.E. the fireball as a base fire chaneller would do 10

I certainly hope there is hotseat. I like to be able to play with my kids or wife or friends on the same computer. Age of Wonders uses a synchronous & asynchronous option. You can only play hotseat with the 'classic' turn order set, when playing single player you can use the simultaneous turn order, which essentially speeds things up. The computer usually decides what to do before I do, but occasionally I do move some guys first. You can run away with
